PAYDAY 2

Finally stealthed a mission :D
It was solo (+2AI for what difference it makes), but it was only the Ukrainian job fetching the tiara from the safe.

I've been trying to do Framing Frames, both day 1 & 3 in stealth, I've not yet finished this one (or nightclub iirc, only tried it 2-4 times) because its just been chaotic when it comes to them cutting the power.
Day 3 stealth we've managed to get 4 of the 5 items and then accidentally got spotted by cameras when it all went south (i found it about 30sec later too, not that its any use at that point), and i think that might have been stealth attempt #2-3 and we did about 10 and didnt get that close. I think part of the problem was that i wasnt aware you could only shout down 1 guard, the rest have this magical resistance to it, so i'd be yelling and only shooting when i felt they werent reacting in a reasonable time, and too often they'd spin around and shoot on sight, whereas others are a little slower. Now i know i might as well shoot when i want, rather than waiting for them to see me in order to yell them down, maybe we'll have better results (particularly in the art gallery).

Im lv53, most stats in Technician, aced $$ in Ghost and carry/throw in Enforcer, as well as a few things in the Mastermind tree to allow me to solo better (as thats how i usually end up playing sadly). I've managed to sell my 4 keys to people in the BF3 clan im in (despite not playing BF for over a year now) but havent had more than 3 on there for about 1-2h.

Just plug away with random folks....by the time you do two missions in a row you will get a good feel for their abilities and experience. Just accept that it will be a different kettle of fish.....in the end you will have more money than things to spend on and the Xp flows quite slowly so better to enjoy the failures as well as the successes.

Think about respeccing in one tree for a different play style, you should have enough cash. Perks like the saw, c4, quick revive are focusing on but it does mean you have to take some average perks too.

Had a cracker of a random match yesturday, Heist:Cash on very hard pro mode (I think)

actual spending pay pushing $600k, most I've had.

I'm an enforcer with upgraded durabillity saw and 2 ammo bags, so I can open every box in the vault, The other 3 were just awesome, Very rare to get paired up with great players.

The van was on the Left side of the bank (worse side i feel), We had two people defending (One on the roof, one street) me being the enforcer so I can throw bags very far, and the last guy dumping the bags in the van.

We had something like 10-12 bags, no one got downed, and it took no time at all.

I havent played with randoms yet, its never something thats really appealed to me in any game, i play with friends or on my own usually. That was one of the perks of selling the other 2 keys to people i knew rather than just selling them to randoms, and as it happens a few others in the clan seem like they're interested in getting a 4-pack too, which should make it easier to find people to play with.

Here's my build so far: http://www.pd2skills.info/profile/paulc2k-3/

Im looking to add the C4 packs, possibly respecing the turrets out, although ive grown quite fond of the little feller recently, and i'd only do it when it unlocked the C4 as i havent really used the mines otherwise.
I've asked everyone to have Dead Presidents & Transporter (more $$ & better carry/throw) because i find its important towards achieving a target or getting away when things go south, after that its just a case of focusing on 1 tree and each doing something special. We dont really have a mastermind running yet so ive put a few points in there myself, and it also helps for solo & hosting too.

Managed to stealth Framing Frames day 3 also, and to an extent day 1, i'd got the paintings onto the roof and just as i was lobbing them down to the truck one of the bodies must have been spotted :(
But day 3 was completely stealth, with 2 gold bars, didnt fancy chancing any more and triggering the alarm as solo theres nobody to remove the lasers if i dont make it out fast enough.
Took a lot of attempts, but its a mission i hadnt completed and it's been bugging me for a while. I think Big Oil is the only one ive yet to finish now, and i dont see that being doable with less than 3ppl and an AI, i've barely made it out of the house with the engine before getting mowed down, so im still left assuming my understanding of which engine to pick is correct.
Wouldnt mind Shinobi and Cleaner from the Ghost tree though, silent kills then bag and hide em, its tricky when theres bodies scattered around and just me running around.

How have others got on with Big Oil? The fact that its a 1-run job means its a bit annoying, but im quite determined to get that one done when the others are online.

A group of 4 of us completed it it fairly easily after finding all the notes pointing the to the right engine. We also kept fairly spread out to make sure the AI didn't just pile into 1 room and we could help pick of shields and the like from different angles. The same goes when you are waiting for the escape as if not the AI will spawn in one location and cause you to get overwhelmed with no cover available.

I really enjoy this game, me and my friend are normally on together and the 2 random people can join on us, we try to do things as quietly as possible but it hardly ever ends up clean.
We was playing the other night and this guy told us to get on the roof of the bank and cover, the next thing we know is he is lobbing bags of money into the street, absolute legend!!!
Then we played framing frames, he sent us up to the roof again to spot for him and again he lobbed all the paintings out by the spiral stair case and we was away but then he left and we all died in the train bit lol
I am wondering what do you think he was spec'd as to achieve this as im currently doing the tech and my friend is doing the tree with the ammo bags.

Its hard to tell just from whats said, but im guessing from what you've said that no alarms were raised during the jobs if you were able to just wait somewhere as a lookout.

Ghost is probably the most likely skill focused on I guess, but it seems to be far far more complicated than a few carefully picked skills to move freely within a location while still carrying out the objectives. A bit of luck and a lot of experience and understanding of the mission probably goes a long way. Knowing the right time to do something, from trial & error, is something i'd imagine is essential.

I've been very pleased with the game, but the 2 things i wish were possible would be multiple builds, like 3 slots, where i could pay to buy a build slot where i could spec a specific way. Having a Ghost spec, a Mastermind spec, and maybe a jack of all trades spec. Even if it cost say 10m per slot (which i've not got even close to yet - 2m is the most ive ever had) and you still had to pay to respec those if you wished, rather than having to pay 2-3m to respec from scratch all the time. Or even being able to remove skills, rather than wipe an entire branch (at least they let us wipe by branches, not whole build).
The other thing would be buying & removing accessories. It doesnt make sense that if you buy an accessory and then remove it, that you no longer own it, its available to use but you have to pay for it again. Surely if you buy something and remove it, you still own it. Its led to me having to build multiple versions of the same gun, and that means needing multiples of some accessories. Its quite annoying.

Just completed Framing Frames again, but on Overkill (still solo), almost identical to my first run - Day 1, got the paintings onto the roof but alarm went as i hadnt cleared the gallery i'd just ran, fed up of so many failed attempts. Day 2 was a pain, esp as you've got the 2min pass the paintings & coke in the train. Took quite a few attempts though, never even saw the sniper asset i paid for either! Oddly though, i'd got 1 bag into the van, lobbed one and it was too high and slid off, the other 2 were in a risky location so i figured i'd sort the missed bag, went to pick it up and job completed, which was odd to say the least.
Day 3 though... that was a real PITA.
took about 12 attempts, but finally cleared the building, started lobbing down bags of coke, they were going to the ground floor room with the stairs down, i wasnt impressed at the distance and so i was lobbing a bit too enthusiastically and got one on top of the gazebo, game over.
2 attempts later and im moving coke, into the bedroom, all 8 bags in place... 'alarm has been triggered', game over.
The following attempt was fine though, and fortunately just down the corridor from the computer room, and i managed to get all the gold out which was very satisfying, the previous time i'd only grabbed 2, it felt too tight, and without someone to remove the laser it wasnt practical to play too risky.

I definitely feel like im getting to grips with it though, day 3 in particular, i found it better to be fairly quick, nothing too silly because you dont want to be answering a pager when someone spots you. But moving quickly through the house was optimal because your giving them less time to cover the house, and when you cant be in 2 places at once its important to ignore looking for the items till the building is locked down.

Not sure if I should post here but add me up if you want to play this my friends are cod mad and dont like payday I on the other hand love it bored of cod and its nice to play the bad guy a very different take on things massive improvement over first one which was good dont get me wrong my steam name is Kill3rs ELITE add me im on most days ;)

Hey guys!

Our largest update yet! This one carries a lot of free content like a new heist, 4 new masks, new economy and much improved AI and difficulties. Pay a visit to the Nightclub and Big Oil as well. They got a lot of new stuff in them!

Update size: 801.9 mb

Team mates

Improved killer instinct for the AI team. They are more aggressive and more prone to stay alive even on the OVERKILL difficulty. Single player never looked more tempting.

Difficulty

Much harder OVERKILL! Yes you got it - now dont cry.
SWATS now have much better flashbangs - use the shades!
More balanced single player sessions
BULLDOZERS are now EVIL

Police AI

Added more and better run and walking animations for our dear enemies.

Crime.net

Improved Payouts!:

The Crime.net economy has got a major upgrade. After looking at massive amounts of data and collecting player feedback we have implemented and tested a new economy system.

Each contract now has reward dependant on the mission specifics. Some contract amounts can seem low but the REAL value is in stealing the LOOT BAGS. If you sling a lot of Coke for Hector he will compensate you greatly. The reward is different depending on the number of coke bags you clear. On the other hand, if you hit Big Oil + it is not at all about bags and more about completion. If you get the engine to the helicopter and escape you get a hefty contract pay. This makes the game more tactical and you have to fight greed on almost every map.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with this!

CrimeNet is now balanced so you can chose to play for XP or Money or a middle way. Learn this by playing the heists on different difficulties. There are some anomalies to be found and taken advantage of!
NOTE: If you are in a BAG focused mission, go for the additional bags - they pay out several 100% more than the mandatory bags (for which you get the contract pay). BUT remeber - GREED KILLS!
Multiday jobs pay out greatly and are very rewarding once you figure out how to move additional bags through them.

Presentation

Crime.net has reduced its somewhat cluttered info when counting the PAYDAY and contract money for you. You will be presented with a PAYDAY number that shows the amount of money the contract is worth EXCLUDING the LOOT BAGS. This is the offshore account money and 10% of that becomes you spendable cash. Look into it. it is simpler and more straightforward.
All cash numbers are now presented as Offshore money until converted to spendable cash.
The Contract filter is back!
Kick Filters. You can now set Kick enabled and filter on that on Crime.net.

HUD

We now display mission bags value on PAYDAY for both mandatory and additional bags in TAB stats screen during gameplay.

Skills

Boosted Aced Combat Medic revive bonus from 25% to 40%.
Enemies more affected by ECM feedback and civilians are no longer affected.
Added Inside Man Assets on almost all levels so that you can buy a EXPERT DRIVER that 100% takes away the Escape.
Made sentry gun tier 6 more effective.

Loot Drop

Added EXP cards in the loot drop for fast leveling
Added much better cash cards!

Weapons

New reload animations for the Deagle!
Texture fix for the "professional" sight.
IZHMA 12G Shotgun damage is buffed.
M308 Rifle has had its damage adjusted correctly.
Kobus 90 Submachinegun got a damage increase with long barrel weapon mod. added.

Got some missions stealthed, not a bad game indeed. One thing tho, the music breaks me in game and I had to turn that off. Also restarted after reaching level 40 after I spent too many skill points on wrong things - doh.

Smelly - You can reset your skills in each category and be returned half the cash it cost to purchase them and all the skill pts back. no need to start from scratch.
