Just because its using current game assets (maps, images, characters etc) doesn't mean you're downloading a code. That'll be 1.86mb of coding to run 2 teams of 4 and netcode etc. It's a con nonetheless though and I wont be buying it.
It's simple don't pay for any DLC ever in your entire life just like me.
The more people that pay the more games will be made with dlc in mind.
God soon they'll be charging us £40 to buy the game pay for dlc pay for xbox live and pay if we want to play the game online.

Either buy it or don't buy it, what is the problem?
Who cares if it was on the disc or from a patch?
I read a lot of stories about the RE5 versus mode that made me decide not to buy it.
they will be selling game demo's to you next just you wait
Agree. As long as the original game didn't mislead by saying the versus mode was part of it, I don't see the issue.
What you did was pay for a very good single/coop game.
no the reality is that you paid full price for 90% of a finished product, where they purposely withheld the final 10% and made you pay extra for it.
A Capcom representative said: "Versus mode represents content that was created outside the scope of the original design of Resident Evil 5. This is an all new mode that required additional resources to create, not to mention the additional bandwidth costs."
I very much doubt a 1.8mb patch did anything more than unlock the content on the disk.
