Paypal question

Right so if it has been held for this reason thats his problem and not mine, right?

His feedback is... 1 positive.

My advice is cancel the transaction and get you money back from PayPal, the seller cannot leave negative feedback to you the buyer so I would walk away as most defiantly he is going to pull a fast one on you.

It is indeed. He needs to send you the item so you can then give feedback and in that way clear the funds to go to him.

It's been specifically designed to work that way.

If he was being nice and genuine, I would talk it through with him. But he is being overly agressive so I would just buy from someone else

So, by the sounds of it the guy isn't going to send the product until Fox gives him feedback, but obviously Fox wants to collect the item before he gives feedback. Sounds like a catch22.

Indeed, which is why he should withdraw his money :D

Well he's not getting any feedback until I've got the item - he's the guy with 1 positive feedback whereas I have much more and it's 100%, so I think I'm being reasonable in expecting it to happen that way round. Paypal it would seem, agree.

Guess we'll have to see what he sends next!

Keep us updated Fox.

Personally I never buy anything on ebay unless someone has at least 30 feedback, its just too much of a car boot sale but with even less checks that something works....

That reply from him seems a bit "knowledgeable" for someone with only 1 feedback, how old is his account out of interest?

Anyway, keep us updated, this could be entertaining!

More contact!

am not sure how I can make this any clearer for you than already in my messages and Item description: No Payment, No Item. Repeat NO Payment No Item. When the funds clear in about 30 days (or if positive feedback left) I will post if postage is paid or allow collection. This is the last time I sell BMW parts due to the buyers/owners they seem to attract (the wrong sort and total you know what). Sticking to decent cars/owners in future.

Why does he think its my problem that Paypal are messing him around?

I've paid him!

Can I do that? Perhaps if I raise a dispute somebody from Paypal will email him and explain it's not my problem or anything to do with me that he hasn't got the money?

You have to wait 7 days before making a complaint of that nature (non-receipt of item).

Just cancel the payment if you can, if not just start a dispute saying that you haven’t received it and you will get your money back.

He sounds like a bit of a tool, just keep an eye out for whatever you want and buy it from someone else.

If you've sent him the money (which you have?) the best way would be to flag a dispute with Paypal and walk away, Paypal will see that you've paid for it and he hasn't sent the item. Paypal usually side with the buyer anyway.

Why does he seem to think it'll take 30 days for the money to clear? it normally only takes 3-5 days to go from PP to back account

In your case i'd be tempted to leave negative feedback, you've paid and hes messing you around...

I get the impression he doesn't understand Paypal and thinks I've not paid him.

Whatever, he's an idiot. But as always I want the item. Sigh..

Hi there,

I have paid you in full. I paid you in full yesterday - £XX has left my bank account.

If the funds have not cleared this is becuase you have setup a new Ebay account and not becuase of anything I have done. Had you an established Ebay account I can only assume the money would have cleared instantly - I've certainly never had issues receiving money myself.

I am a trustworthy individual as my feedback shows - if the wheel is as you describe it I see no reason why I won't be leaving positive feedback as soon as it arrives.

Consider it from my point of view. I have paid £XX to an Ebay user with a new account and zero feedback. Would YOU leave positive feedback before getting anything in that circumstance?

Rest assured I am not a 'typical' BMW owner and have paid you in full, in good faith.

I respectfully request that you either allow collection of the item, or return my money.

Sound alright?
