Yes.
Co-ax is just the way the cable is made, an inner conductor insulated then with an outer conductor (that usually I beleive acts as an RF sheild).
Different grades of co-ax have different levels of RF sheilding and quality of inner conductor.
If you cut open a composite cable sometime, then cut open a good quality TV cable, then a Satalite or Cable TV cable you'll note there are differences in them (cable TV or Satalite for example tends to have a much thicker knit of outer conductor).

) When the police came round last year they mentiond home security etc and never said about arning signs so hopefuly Northumbria Police dont have that policy for home cctv .
