the problem with the term "AAA" is that it doesn't have a specfic defination
everyone considers AAA to mean something different

and im not just talking about gamers here, im talking about designers and producers as well.

The loose defination of AAA is simply big budget games
but having a big budget doesn't guarnetee quality ;)

dont know why it has so many replies

come on guys just lets just ignore this guy

Agreed, lets ignore him. People falsely accusing others of trolling. :p
But really, its a discussion, the thing forums are usually meant for. If you have nothing worthwhile to say then avoid posting.

^^^ and fair enough, maybe I should have asked for high quality games instead, but you get the jist.

Mind your manners!
I doubt you'd spend 900 pound on a console only to find there aren't any games you like. If its really rhat hard to understand either re-read my posts (cause I'm pretty sure I answered/corrected everything)

Hmmm, why post when you have nothing worthwhile to say?

I only asked a few of you to name a few good games (which will be released later this year) so I dont have to spend ages looking for them when I actually buy a good PC. Its called Planning in advance

Theres not that many at all. Nowhere near as much as there was 5-10 years ago, it clearly shows PC gaming is slowly going.

i named you one. Arma 2.

And I looked at it, thought it was 'alright' and added it to the list I'm keeping an eye on. (Others include diable 3 and Witcher)

However now I'm just looking at which multiplatform games to buy which will be 'better' on PC due to mods etc. Seems the best way I'm going to get the best experience is by using a good PC with the games I like (Console / multiplatform).

If you like fallout i suggest you get them on pc as it is a much better exeriance once modded.

Well you obviously are not that bothered when you look at games like shogun 2, crysis and starcraft and dismiss them as not aaa

This ^

Shogun 2 and Starcraft 2 alone would keep you occupied for a decade. Of course, they're strategy games and not flashy console style games, which is what the PC is all about.

Alternatively, do you like football? Buy cheap PC, buy Football Manager, never touch console again :D

Not hard to understand, despite what you think, but there have been good suggestions in this thread, most of which you didn't seem that bothered by.

Truth is, a lot of the big brands are now on consoles (Portal 2), but will still look and play better on a decent PC (depending on spec), so the choice is yours if you'd prefer the extra graphical fluff, and the mods that comes with the PC platform, for a cheaper (on average) price, or if you just want to pick up the big brand games like COD on PS3 and enjoy the games that way.

I will always prefer a driving game on PC and a fighting game on PS3, for example.

This is probably what you are after: http://uk.pc.ign.com/index/release.html?indexType=upcoming&sort=popularity&location=pc&locale=uk
