Well, this feels a bit embarrassing!
This app works just like I had expected from the Gamepass. Don't know how I missed it! (Though I really don't remember seeing any indication I should download this when I signed up...)

Ok, so this app has been what I was missing, but I'm finding it a bit of a pain to use.
I have the app displaying all Game Pass games, which is what I wanted, but I can't scroll up and down effectively. Everytime I do so, it hangs momentarily. It takes about five seconds to display the new row(s) of game tiles, and the app is unresponsive during that time. I can't even scroll back up to the rows that I was looking at previously without this happening.
With the list going back to the top everytime I look at a game's details and then use the back arrow to return to the list, this is pretty much unusable and I'm finding myself back to using the web page to look at the list of available games. The whole app is so slow to repond to inputs I think I'm off using it until something improves.
Is this happening for anyone else?

I haven't read the thread because lazy, but is anyone buying game pass for £1.00, and then cancelling reoccurring billing and buying another months worth for £1.00 rinse and repeat?
No freezing on the app for me I'm afraid. Not sure what yours is up to.
And I would think the only way you could repeat the £1 for the first month deal would be to set up a whole new account each time. And given that it's connected directly to your Windows account, I suspect that would be a right pain in the bum. Plus you'd lose any progress on your games, and have to re-install them from scratch too because of MSs weird decision to have all the game files in randomly named and non-accessible folders.

I've been doing it for months just by cancelling the reoccurring billing as soon as I've paid £1.00 and then just simply buying it again for another £1.00 after its expired.
Edit: I've just checked my account, I've been doing it since December 2018 lol, it only takes 2 mins so its not like its a hassle to do

Hmm. I am at a bit of a loss. This is something very tricky to Google, because all the responses are to do with downloads being slow or freezing, rather than the app itself.
I have looked at it again with task manager open, and I notice that whenever I scroll up or down the game list, my GPU use spikes pretty high for a basic 2D app - 40% under 3D usage and 60% video decode. Does that seem unexpectedly high? Is this the same for others?
There are momentary pauses if you scroll up and down too quickly. I could get my GPU to go to 25.7% but no higher than that.

Yeah, it's much worse than that for me. Even scrolling a couple of lines at a time, it's just too slow and laggy to feel usable. I updated my drivers, but it's still spiking up to 40-50% 3D usage if I scroll up or down on the games list.
I wonder if there's some nVidia setting somewhere that might be responsible.

Looking into this for Forza. What's the cheapest way to get game pass for PC (I don't have an Xbox)? CD Keys have 3 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Xbox One / PC for £15.99 which seems good. Are there better deals? I haven't joined yet and can see I have the join for £1 offer.

Your not wrong, it will go up to £7 for just the PC version. Apparently the £1 month first month is "beta" and £3.99 a month is introductory, can see it here (scroll towards bottom of page): https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-game-pass?xr=shellnav
No idea when the introductory element will be over, but for now works out cheaper going down that route then most other options available.

I find that selection a little underwhelming, although it is cool they’re putting FSX on it.
Yeah, Flight Simulator looks amazing. It's not something I would buy on release because I always found them a bit complicated in the past but with Game Pass it's a no-brainer.
