PC Game Pass (was Xbox Game Pass for PC)

I’m finding with these all you can eat services like Origin Access, Xbox Game Pass is that I’m not finishing anything. I download a few to try, start playing one and then move on to the next after a day or so. And it’s not that the games are bad, they just feel different to play when you haven’t bought them.

Does anyone know if this platform supports cloud saves? A out to take my PC down and build my new one. Not that far in any one game but wouldnt want to restart forza for example.

Thanks

You can find this information in the Xbox app. On a game's page, under Capabilities. "Xbox Live cloud saves" is what you're looking for. For example, Metro Exodus says it, Rage 2 doesn't.

Does anyone else have issues with Vampyr, I'm using a rtx 2080ti, set to 4k, the display works fine, but using controller or mouse the control is way out of sync when it comes to clicking options or moving.

I have tried dropping the resolution, makes no difference... I've read of others having similar issues but never found a fix.

Yeah, I can’t remember what I did. I either played in 1080p or created a desktop shortcut to change the display scaling properties.

How long has it been going now? I've never paid more than £1 a month yet so happy to keep subbing whilst it's that price. I was only thinking about cloud saves this afternoon wondering where the heck my Subnautica saves are kept. I did find them with some googling. Some games save to AppData in some folders underneath.

Can someone help with an Xbox Game Bar problem. When you press Win+G do you get FPS details in the performance box? I can only see CPU, GPU and RAM. I wonder if they took it off or whether it’s something to do with permissions.

Oh wow dude thanks for pointing that out. I have never owned or used xbox anything except my 360 controller connected to my pc. What is the benefit of upgrading to ultimate?

Ultimate does absolutely nothing for PC only players. Except give you access to Gears 5 Ultimate Edition. You get Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass but they are only applicable to the Xbox console.

Two new games of note today - Wolfenstein Youngblood and Final Fantasy XV. Both of which I've had my eye on but considered a "risky purchase" as I don't expect to like them too much. Now I get to try them risk-free!

And ideas why when I launch MC collection, when I get to menu section I can only play Reach? the others are listed below.

None of the other games have been ported yet. Halo Combat Evolved is on its way next. The others follow in turn after that. They did say their aim was to have the whole lot finished by the end of the year but I doubt that.

I've never played a game like Streets of Rage before - that type of isometric brawler side-scrolling beat-em-up. But thanks to XGP, I've played SoR4 tonight. Never would have bothered otherwise but what fun! I need to introduce my nephews to this game for a bit of co-op.

I'm not so sure... Game Pass uses Windows Store which AFAIK doesn't let you launch other software from an app downloaded from it. e.g. You can't install Rockstar Social Club/Games Launcher as part of a download from Windows Store. I think that's why it's not available to PC. On Xbox, you sign in to RSC from within the game, on PC it's via the extra client.

I have decided next time I reinstall Windows, the XBox apps are going nowhere near my PC. Game Pass is lovely and all but I'm not having half-installed programs, encrypted folders, etc. scattered about my system. I'll take a chance with Steam and its refund system.

Haha it sure does. Still a cracking game hope they get a number 2 out

I would be in favour of that [Alan Wake 2] but having had a dabble with Control, I think I'd like Control 2 even more. But first they should go back and tart up Max Payne 1 so it plays nice with Windows 10 without having to resort to patches/mods. :p
