"PC Games" Forum!

I own PC, 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP, I play the 360 most, PC next most, then Wii, PS3, DS, PSP in that order. When unreal comes out this week i think ill probably play that more than anything (depending on whether mass effect hooks me).
 
The PC forum here has taken a downturn at the minute due to the over the top amount of Crysis posts. That does sort of hint at a lack of decent PC games at the moment.

Saying that , I have both PC and 360 and the PC is getting the most use right now with TF2 but 3 months ago it was all 360 gaming for me. I like them both, each has advantages and disadvantages. You can't say one is better than the other in all respects.
 
Few of my mates have just completed Crysis and have said that its flippin gorgeous to look at, best graphics ever, but the actual game offers very little over far cry.

It's much better than Far Cry, 1 or 2 levels are a tad naff but the majority of the game is very solid and a lot of fun.

Far Cry was completely ruined when the mutants showed up, well naff that was.

The PC Games forum is going to be prone to bouts of frantic posting whenever the next big thing hits the shops ... it's what the forum is for after all ... discussion of 'PC Games' ...

Well I liked Farcry up until the 'mutants' bit where I stopped playing it, so I had my doubts over Crysis, but having just completed it....best PC game ive played in years.

Bit cheeky to have The Orange Box as 3 different games, but worth a go :p.
Several average titles, a few RTS games and 4 strong FPS games.

Prior to that there was nothing for a long time, however it's nice to see the PC starting to get some decent games, however only World In Conflict and Crysis are exclusives that interest me.

It does make me wish my GPU wasn't dead though.

Are you sure they've actually played it? That's absolute rubbish, the gameplay is stunning - not only years ahead of Far Cry but also the most recent shooters, including Half Life 2, the game engine, game design and sound are all superb.

More than deserves all the 90-95%+ reviews it's been getting across the globe.

So how much more powerful are these high-end PCs than the latest generation of consoles?

"It's absolute nonsense to think that consoles are at the cutting edge," said Roy Taylor, vice president of content relations at Nvidia, the world's biggest manufacturer of graphics cards.

"As good as consoles are, they are so far behind the PC gaming experience that there is no comparison.

"In terms of raw processing power, the high-end PCs are at least three times more powerful."

100% agreed and add to that, some games like Half-Life 2 needs online activation, probably making it unsellable. (?!)

Unlike console games which you can borrow or pass it around.

Never mind dealing with some incomparability as well!
