I find that very cheeky indeed, If I was going for a new job or something important that needs my identity, not to a cheap knock off site.

I think they do it to avoid fraud and make sure you are not a spam bot.
 
Wow, never thought they'd release Final Fantasy VIII :eek:! Unfortunately it isn't as good value as FF7 as it can't be modded anywhere near as much, leaving with you rather crappy MIDI music.

Edit: Apparently there is a music mod for FF8 so there might be a chance for this Steam release :).

How bad is the music in this version of Final Fantasy VIII? I played the original on the Playstation... Is/was the PC version different? If anyone has tried the music mod can they report back here please? :)

That's on my wish list, but as I've already played it and still got the install disks, I'll wait for a sale. I did the same for FFVII; got it for £5 although it did drop further than that in the last sale.

The music is midi which is pants like the FF7 music. There is only one track which has full audio and that's the ending. The PlayStation audio is way more better but obviously the graphics isn't as good. I'm going to wait for the audio patch before I make this purchase as I already have the original PC and PS1 versions plus on PSN too.

Assuming the audio patch works the same as the one for FF7 does it affect things like the Steam achievements unlocking?
