Gahh i'm gonna be in trouble.

is the $15 DLC worth the extra? better off trying the basic game and buying later if I get really into it? Not sure i'm a big time RTS fan :S.

Still, SO MUCH TROUBLE.

Humble bundle is good looking - however I have already bout the gold edition Civ 5 - is it still worth picking up then for the rest?

That's okay. Civ games are not RTS, they are turn based :). I've personally bought the bundle without Brave New World. It comes up cheap on Amazon.com Often enough.

Oh man... I spent around the same for Civ 5 gold edition last summer Steam sale, which came with all the DLCs apart from BNW... If there's anything worse than Steam sales, it's Humble Bundles :p. I want to fork out for that BNW but I don't really want the rest as I already have them...

Is it just me who is getting a little cheesed off with the Humble Bundle folks these days?
I remember back when it started, it was a true pay what you want affair. It then jumped to the $1 minimum, which was I think predictable if a sad reflection on those paying a single cent.

These days, they're pushing beat the average and now this $15 DLC. I don't mind so much the average, but the $15 DLC feels really cheap and nasty.

Cheap and Nasty? $15 is for everything in the bundle. Including brave new world which isn't that old either. Its a brilliant bundle if you haven't got stuck into CIV yet.

The $1 minimum was introduced to stop Humble Bundle losing money through those paying less than $1. Paypal fees on a purchase less than $1 means that they lose money on the transaction, which especially when charity involved, is a scumbag thing to do.

Beat the average and milestone payments are incentives, and nothing more. The option to still purchase a few amazing games for only $1 is still available. More often than not the games available through these incentives are expensive or recently released games which is an added bonus. You still get lots of games for a cheap price.
