Looking at Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint in the steam sales.

I'm unlikely to have the time to sink 100s of hours into these, so not interested in adding filler quests, but equally, the £11.79 option is barely more expensive. Will I miss out on not getting gold/ultimate?

I've seen a lot of people complaining about Breakpoint... mainly from the POV of content being locked behind a paywall. Which version avoids this issue? Is the extra content worth it?
