PC Gaming is ALIVEEEE

A common misconception is assuming that everyone wants more PPI. Leaning in to squint at fine detail is wasted pixels and rendering horsepower. I sent a 27" 4K back for that very reason, distant objects were only clear if you looked very closely at the screen.
The only comparison between TVs and monitors is the ratio of distance sat to discernible detail, I will assume you've seen the charts.

Higher PPI was pushed on phones, it was not market demand. Also, why are you holding a phone 2ft from your face?

Fair enough, maybe not everyone wants more PPI. I certainly do as it just looks better in most games to me. Not had the issue you mentioned about distant objects. Could be the case if you tried very old games which obviously would not have taken 4K into account when when designing the game.

As for holding the phone 2ft away, I don’t. I did say similar, should have said relative to using a huge tv. I certainly have my monitor closer than 2ft away from me. Not sure if this is a bad thing, but it is how I enjoy it, if it was a bigger monitor it might be further :)

Let's not talk about the biggest failure of PC gaming "CHEATING" and the failure of release upon release of the devs to implement something that actually works...

Consoles have it just as bad in terms of cheating, some of the cheats i've seen in cod games on console are mental.

That £2 for 2 months MS Game Pass deal is ridiculous in a good way. You get full access to any Windows 10 store game which is a Play Anywhere title (Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Dead Rising 4, Sea Of Thieves, Resident Evil7, Forza Series, Gears Of War 1 +4 etc etc) even the latest Forza 4 when it launches start of October. But you have to subscribe monthly for £7.99 a month so after month 2 finishes you will need to continue the trial to keep access to those games.
