Pc vs ps4

3rd paragraph.

You are looking at it differently than I am.

Bottomline is, I doubt anyone here will have the same PC they have today in 2013, identical in every single component, and still gaming with games that will come out in 2020.

I can confidently say that would be the case for the ps4 and xb1.

That is my point to begin with and reiterated about 5 times.

I have said the exact same thing though and even stated how my PC has seen some upgrades over the past 5 years.

All I'm saying is that if you have the funds and like to experience higher quality games then go with PC.

Also.last I heard GTA 5 not out on ps4 hehe.

If you have upgraded your PC then you just supported my argument.

And I stated gta 5 as an example of an console exclusive, I never said it was ps4 exclusive. As he was listing things that is PC exclusive, (a platform).

Now who need to learn to read? ;)

As for PC have higher quality games. That's a different argument entirely. My argument was value, and as for quality...I've had a cutting edge PC in the past, rented servers to play call of duty in a clan with people from this very forum! but I can say the most enjoyable games I have ever played was with friends on Mario kart or a game of FIFA with friends in the living room.

Not sitting in front of my PC playing TDM for 6 hours straight alone in my own bedroom.

And I repeat, that's a different argument. You do what you enjoy. My point was about value, not about "quality games" as that's a matter of opinion.

How has this now turned into a PC vs Console debate anyway? That not what the thread was about in the first place.

Lol, that isn't even an argument, a PC has better graphic purely because a console as hardware that is set over a year ago, whereas a PC is a liquid and moving entity, a goal post that is never static.

It's not even a question that needs asking.

This has to go down as one of the most stupid questions the form has seen? surely?

Why are you all talking about comparing a PC to a gaming console? A gaming console is built with set hardware with aims such being affordable to consumers. A PC will is built to user specification and can range from total non gaming to high end gaming.

Taking this common sense into account, PC's will always have the upper hand on a games consoles, this isn't new for Playstation 4, its always been the case.

Playstation 4 is going to be a really good machine, the hardware you are getting for the £350 price tag is excellent. You could not build a PC for £350 that would beat the PS4 and that seems the only fair way to have this debate. High end PCs running games on ultimate settings should still look better with a better frame rate.

You've hit the nail on the head in your last para! Compare it by initial price and the PS4 will win hands down In terms of quality.

i could build it for £350 if i was mass produce/selling them :) o wait that is what the ps4 is doing hehe :P

The reason why you cant build a pc for 350 that can play games is because the PC does more then gaming and thust requires more high spec components.

A PC that does even the simplest task requires a CPU, mobo, power supply and RAM. It only requires the addition of a dedicated GPU for gaming. (Of course there's on board GPUs but...)

My point is, surely gaming is one of the main things that requires more high spec components. Thus proving the point about value for gaming.

I do see the point about bulk buying/mass production helping costs, but then that option is open to any large computer brand.

the new Steam console will put that point across ie an affordable PC thats same price as a ps4/xbox one but has actual PC components
