Pc vs ps4

I have actually managed to get some games on here and taken a few screenies, I'll do some more then post them at the weekend as I have to do about 20 hours of overtime this week.

Specs are:
Celeron e3200 2.4Ghz
4Gb DDR2 (32bit OS so only 3GB is used, + 512mb GPU)
8800GT

So pretty poor

And read my second post, who has a PC matching the minimum spec back in 2006 for battlefield 4?

I did end up playing BF4 on a 8800gt recently and it works, well even. Not plain sailing but fluid gameplay on the lowest settings

Back in 2006, December I got the dual core. The e6400 but I managed to overclock it to the same as the highest model. I think I had 1 gig back then but the graphics card I definitely didnt have and wiki says oct 2007 for the gt but I guess gtx/gts is/was similar or better in nov 06.

So in theory an old rig will play a modern game but would have cost a lot more back then. Excluding the graphics card, my system was not that expensive at that time, under 300

PC is always going to be better. Console is cheaper, PS4 is certainly slightly ahead of the XBone.

I still have an 8800 GTX in my wee bros pc which he uses for WoW. 768Mb for gfx memory.
