NVidia have GameWorks, ATi had Get In The Game, AMD have **** all.
I posted an interview before from back in the ATi days with that Huddy guy talking about vital the GITG programme and helping developers is/was.. what has changed? AMD's attitude... it's their business plan to not lift a finger until necessary and blame everyone else for their issues, they're reactionary rather than proactive.
I'm 99% sure that the primary reason behind Mantle was to offload all responsibility for supporting their cards on the software side to developers, publishers/developers understandably wouldn't have any of it whilst DirectX has such a big market share.
I think Huddy needs to go, he talks out of his ass and does AMD no favours at all. Would much rather someone like Robert Hallock take his role, seems far better at conveying what AMD is about. Roy also talks poop so he should go too.
