Sorry, in the context of people who aren't broke (you assume, given the luxury nature of the item) begging commercial outfits (shops) for free, luxury goods.
When I think of begging I normally think of people living on the streets.
Surely at some point the effort of begging for a free chair would have been better spent doing some overtime or something, then buying one?
