thought the whole point of having a cat was you didn't have to walk it.
It's a huge bonus. And it's one of the reasons why I refuse to get a dog - too time-consuming and not for my lifestyle at all.

I always thought that the whole purpose of a cat was also pest control which you cannot have if they stay indoors all the time.
I am not a fan of cats it was more my wife and daughter choice but I cannot deny the impeccable pest control he performs year in year out.
thisWeird. Cat owners in general are weird.
Our Norweigen Forest cat loves going for walks on his lead.
Basically he is a house cat, but we have a catio built on the back of the property so that he can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. They're very friendly cats, so will approach strangers for affection. Unfortunately this is when they get stolen.

Keeping cats indoors cannot even be compared to that.
Castration and spaying are also mutilation, it's surgical alteration of the animal for the benefit of the owner, bit hypocritical to condemn one and not the other tbh.
