People waiting for your car park space

I don't know why some people have to see politeness and being kind to others as some sort of inherent weakness. Like the drivers who see you indicating right to move into the lane and decide they absolutely have to close the gap to prevent you being in front of them, even though you already are in front of them in a different lane.

That annoys me as well, but if I was driving a car or my Black Cab and someone accelerated to prevent me from moving to the right to overtake, I’d shrug and bite the bullet, I could just move to the right and overtake after that cretin had gone by.
However, when I was driving a loaded 44 ton truck and needed to overtake, particularly if there was an uphill gradient immediately ahead, which could slow me down a couple of gears, and some clown chose to ignore my indicators and speed up to almost next to me, I’d hold my nerve and keep on with the overtaking manoeuvre, the clown could sound his horn, flash his lights, and flip me the bird all day long, wouldn’t bother me, but I’d only do it if I could see that the fast lane was clear, so the clown could move to his right without impeding faster traffic if he chose not to ease up to allow me to safely overtake.

I bet those who hover to close to you when leaving a bay are the same people who start putting their shopping on the conveyor belt 10cm from your shopping. Still got half your shopping to put out.

This whole thread seems like a none issue.
In a busy car park it's just standard practice to whack your indicator on if you spot someone you think is about to leave and claim the space.
In the other side of the coin, if I'm leaving I'll give them a little nod or whatever or make some sort of disapproval if I'm going to be more than a few minutes.

Just basic communication! Surely?

Anyone else also notice peoples lack of patience lately, when you're reversing into a spot which takes a few seconds they won't wait. Soon as they see a slight hint of a gap in front of your car while you're reversing backwards into a space they'll zoom around you with inches to spare.
