to man Utd? :D

we cant even stop Pique moving back to barca, how the hell would we be able to convince their manager to leave and come to Man utd?

i dont know if it is utter blue sky thinking but clearly, this is unlikely to happen anytime soon. it would take, imo, pep to get sacked or soemthing for him to even consider the move surely?

why not come out and say Merinho is the man for the job? he clearly wants it, knows english football. speaks good english, is good with the press. gets results. wins many things?

with UTD going somewhat backwards and in such debt and no longer being in a position to comepete for the best in the world, why would Pep turn his back on the dream team with: Messi, Villa, Iniesta, Xavi to come and deal with fletcher, oshea hm....

it was on the radio and in the headlines today that Fergie has recommended Pep as the man for the job, as his replacement.

i am just spelling out how that is unrealistic crazy talk.

I think this is the reason why you won't get Mourinho as he would want to chuck £200m to make sure the team has his stamp on it (abit like he did with Chelsea), when he took over Inter and Madrid he had a very good team that were guaranteed a top 1 or 2 place and only needed a couple of players to change things around whereas at Man U I personally think he would want to make wholesale changes that Man U can't fund.

Sauce?

I would much prefer Mourinho, I just don't think Guardiola has been truly tested, I mean with that team it's pretty impressive to ever lose anything...

Why would Mourinho? (obviously just substitute Barca players out for Real). Players he won't want, not enough money to spend getting the ones he does want. Unless he's fancying a major pet project I don't see why you would get either of them. Mourinho isn't going to come to admire your history, he wants to come and win things. If he thinks that's beyond the reach of the club I don't see why he'd bother.

I think Pep will come to Arsenal, he's quite similar to Wenger, I'm sure he can adjust to a more modest budget too. Plus Arsenal need somebody who will play similar football to they do now, and there's only Pep who's doing it atm

'It’s a job that needs experience at the top of the game and I don’t think United could go down the road of having a young manager.”'

Wasn't that Ferguson's quote? The rest speculation? Pep is a young manager, doesn't it kinda rule him out?

First of all why do you mention barca's top players then you mention man utd's bottom players for comparison?

surely you should mention top player's from both club's?

its like saying why would you want to leave Liverpool with the likes of Gerrard, Torres and Reina to go to Real Madrid to deal with Marcelo, Leon and Mateos.

The fact that you have stacked the cards in a biased manner for your argument proves how rubbish it is.

His argument is fine, Utd don't have the players ready to play a style similar to Barcelona, so either Pep would need to change his style or buy players that can play like he wants

United's main source of joy last season was getting crosses into Rooney, something which Barca rarely do.

I dont think Guardiola does much at Barcelona apart from pep talks (excuse the pun), the team has been playing the same way for years before he was there.

Therefore he is punching far above his weight, simply due to the players Barcelona have. Going to a club like man utd, would be a true test of how good a manager he is.

I disagree, I think they're a completely different side under Guardiola than they were Rijkaard, a lot, lot more refined and organised.

hm, because one club can go out and buy potentially the best in any position they choose to. the other chooses not to do so, or cannot for financial or human issues.

So while UTD might have john oshea, pep wont be able to come in and replace him with a Danny Alves.

look at the barca squad. they arent laden with Carricks (high price low output), Hargreaves (expensive, not going to contribute again), O'shea (plays regularly, performs terribly), Fletcher (no technical ability, tries hard fails often), Gary Neville (old, useless), Park (tries, no technical ability to talk about)...

there are few AAA players at Man Utd. the rest is and has been made up of work ethic as opposed to having the ability to play the beautiful game. We are known as a cutting counter attacking team. not one who dominates possession for 90mins tearing teams apart.

So without removing more than half the team who lack the technical ability, how exactly would you fit pep and barcelonas play style into Man U?

This...i cant see Pep being at Utd...if he comes to the Prem league then it will be most likely Arsenal.
