Pepsi Max

I used to consume even more than that, now I only drink the stuff if I'm out at a restaurant or something. at home strictly water.

In the main I don't drink fizzy drinks. I probably have one can once every two-three weeks.

I filter my water at home and the water at work is filtered. I try to drink as much as I'm "supposed" to.

My Achilles' heel is coffee. ~5 cups a day.

I've drank tap water all my wife and my teeth are fine and I feel fit as a fiddle.

There's not a chance I'm paying for bottled water unless I'm out of the house and need a drink, in fact I prefer the taste of my tap water.
What makes you think everyones body is biologically the exact same as yours and has the same tollerence to dangerous substances?

That's not what I said. Just giving my version of the story that drinking tap water isn't as bad as some say it is...

having cherry max now for the first time

hmm, pretty good :)

EDIT: just finished the can, maybe the cherry flavour is just a tad too strong imo

Can't stand it personally, but if it were diet coke with cherry I'd be licking the insides of the can for more!

...

I've stopped buying fizzy drinks as of a week ago, bought a 10L reservoir with a tap to go in the fridge and I put squash in that now, think I might get another just for water, can't stand drinks not being mega cold.

Was drinking near on 2L a day of diet pepsi/pepsi max/coke zero and no water...I don't feel any better off right now :o

I pretty much solely drink tap water. I don't drink booze, squash, fizzy or hot drinks. To be honest I don't find anything quenches my thirst as well as water, also it's free.

Im not a fan of pepsi altogether , but Dr Pepper on the other hand.... Mmmmm.

Must go through 6-8 Litres a week. Ive tried kicking the addiction (LOL WTF it is like a drug) but seem to only last a month at most, although i do feel better coming to the end of the month. Sleeping better and able to wake up without alarms etc, not keeping awake till the early hours of the morning.

But i still end up going back to it. Im currently trying to reduce the quantity i drink of it a week and replace it with mineral water and Vimto juice, upto 4 litres of that aday seems to stop the craving so much.

Ive always been thin (75kg , 6Ft 2) , never had problems with my teeth, health wise feel good although but if any slightly lethargic but i put that down to the fizzy drinks. Its good to hear fellow users on here ! LOL

a few years ago, I was terrible, drinking 1-2L of fizzy (full sugar) rubbish a day, often more, and it was usually lucozade :(

fast forward to now, and I mostly just drink green tea and sugar free squash in the week (still need diet coke to go with spirits at the weekend!).
I keep hearing all kinds of negative stuff about sweeteners, but as I have seen from my own experience the effects that sugar has on me, I still think I'm better off on sweeteners.

drastically cutting back on sugars is the best thing I've ever done, I sleep better, feel more consistently awake (rather than the '20min high, then low until the next bottle' cycle that lucozade created) and I've lost 4 stone in 11 months (yes I changed my diet a fair bit and did some occasional exercise :P however, I think sugar was the biggest difference).

gonna try to get away from the sweeteners too at some point soon, but the healthy life is temporarily on hold as I'm at a fest next weekend and gonna let my hair down in every respect :D

...i go through about 2 litres some times a bit more per day....

.... but also i drink 3 litres of water in a big bottle i always have around the house in the day also.

then in the evenings about 2-4 cans of lager then a pint of water then bed.

How can you be so thirsty?

I used to drink a 2L bottle of Diet Coke a night... Now I only drink water. It really does NOT do you any good. Regardless if it's sugar free or any crap like that. It's simply not good for you. Drink water with a can of fizzy here and there.

Old or not, this thread is interesting.

There are an awful lot of posts staying that sugar free fizzy drinks are just plain bad for you.

What exactly do they do? I'm aware that all carbonated drinks can contribute towards enamel erosion of the teeth, but what else exactly is it that sugar free fizzy drinks do? Emphasis on the term "sugar free" here, since the thread is about Pepsi Max.

Acid reflux/indigestion/heartburn can all be caused by drinking diet fizzy drinks, they're one of the number one causes... Although admittedly; so can eating a lot of citrus fruit, and the obvious candidates such as alcohol and fried food.

My take it that anything like that is going to be bad if you drink litres of it every day,
