Pepsi Max

I switched mid december from 1/2 litre or more coke zero a day to bottled fizzy water. I've only taken coke twice since (at cinema) I don't miss it at all I usually drink 2L of fizzy water per day so wonder what are the side effects of CO2 (apart from burping a lot :p )

Half a litre per day? Good god man...

fizzy water is foul, people complain about water tasting crap, but add fizz to it and it really does taste like crap :/ can't understand people who drink it by choice :p

I don't like Max, but full fat Pepsi is the drink of gods!

I buy those 500ml bottles in large amounts, I have on average one a day. Having said that I drink 4-6 pints of water a day!

I'd say I'm addicted to water more than anything else, even beer!

Cant...work...out...if it's sarcasm :(

Being serious. But thinking about it that's one small bottle aday.but to someone like me who only drinks purified spring water (i have my own spring) and has a bottle of Fentimans natural ginger beer on special occasions it seems a lot.... soft drinks are dangerous to your health they have ounces of sugar and nasty additives that cause plenty of problems in later life.

The sugar vs. sweetener debate has occured on here before.

I prefer to drink the original version of a soft drink in moderation, rather than any of the sugar free alternatives. For the record, Pepsi Max is the best tasting sugar free soft drink around though.

I almost exclusively drink water, with fruit juice to accompany it. I think I probably drink on average maybe one can of a soft drink every week or two, not much at all.

Certainly drinking as much of any soft drink as you are currently drinking is not a good idea.

It's scary to think of how much Irn Bru i go through in a week, talking 2 litres a day minimum. Its far too good.

RIBENA, lol

I used to drink Coke but now I hardly ever drink it, at work it's coffee in the morning and the rest of the day just water or flavoured water, same at home and I really don't miss Coke/Fanta/Sprite and I definately don't miss the burping and farting.

Coke and pepsi are just terrible, dunno how people get addicted to them. I know people who will drink 3-4 litres a day of it!

I don't mind a dash of it as a mixer but aside from that I won't touch the stuff. I'll usually have juice, squash, water or black tea.
Annoys me though because I went to burger king the other day, asked for a water with my meal "Oh we haven't got any water", I asked for tap water, "Oh no, we can't give you tap water, I can give you hot water with ice in it." nobs, as if the hot water didn't come out of the bloody tap.

Based on government research reviews and recommendations from advisory bodies such as those listed above, aspartame has been found to be safe for human consumption by more than ninety countries worldwide.

I don't drink the stuff, I much prefer water or diluting juice, but the whole "OMG Aspartame = cancer" thing is blown way out of hand. you need to ingest A LOT of it, before it imposes a risk to your health.

Edit: waits for the "these governments were paid by Coke to pass it" conspiracy theorists.

On related news I picked up 2x 8 packs of cans in the supermarket as they were on special offer.

Got home, cracked one open and took a taste.. seemed a bit "odd" but I assumed it was because it was being served at room temp.

That was until my mrs pointed out I'd bought regular Pepsi :o:rolleyes::D

They probably don't have dedicated drinking water in the serving area, and didn't want to give you the harder water from the taps.

Pepsi Max is very nice but addictive, I'm trying to cut down on the amount I drink heheh

B&M do a 12 pk for £2.79

love pepsi max/diet coke, cut down a considerable a lot.

i only drink 2ltr bottle in a week, but i drink a lot of orange squash, water tastes so boring on it's own

There's nothing harmful in pepsi, no sugar, sweetners like aspartame are not harmful despite what the nutters may say and the amount of caffine is negligible. You aren't going to be harmed by 6 litres a week as long as you are drinking enough water.
