Bid em. Deals to be done for dealer ornamentsCelica GT4?
Also thoughts on 997 GT3 prices.... Still seem pretty pricey
Out of interest how does that work as i thought the VAT exempt element was only on the cost of modifications to adapt the car and not on the car itself (unless adapted for wheelchairs)
Well I know the guy already got a *massive* discount off a new GTR, so maybe theres something that he qualifies for extra.
November 2018 to November 2017
Audi down 44%
Bentley down 15%
Mclaren down 55%
Porsche down 77%
Many dealers not buying cars right now, to much stock so if you have a trade in it will be auction pricing or thanks but not thanks. It’s the time to be buying if you’re in a position to do so for next 2-3 months. Prices will straighten I think into spring as people look for summer fun.
Picking up a Performante this afternoon.![]()
Nice. I think of all the cars out there presently within range, that holds the most appeal but I struggle to feel comfy in Lambo's due to their long rake screens and seating portion. The Aventador made me feel very claustrophobic and I really had to get out of it quickly. It's a real thing and why I struggle in the back of cars and can't get in the back of a 2 door. That to one side, they look sensational, sound sensational and go sensational. Should be sensational I guess then! Good work.Picking up a Performante this afternoon.![]()
Also having been owned by an internet sensation and someone who can eat 3 Shredded Wheat, that must surely add to its value as well. I mean, 300 follows on Twitter, not everyone can claim that.I would have personally have thought your R8 would be worth some extra simply for been a Plus and in red as most R8's are in dull boring colours, the brighter colours seem quite rare which is a shame as it really suits them.
I love how you say this with such certainty and commitment! Dont get into sale or marketingI’ve been watching the market for the last six months and I’m now able to call it (don’t take my word for it though, I’m often wrong). High value sports cars are dropping like stones, some brands are in free fall.
Take the McLaren 570S. Six weeks ago, the base level for this car was a strong 130k. About four weeks back that became 110k and today I know of cars in dealers for low 90k! That is some drop. GT3/GT4 are now below list and I suspect will be dropping Q1 to make them sensible again and Aston, Ferrari and others are all heading down outside the low volume high value stuff.
I think a cheeky 80 something bid will get you into a MK2 R8 Plus too and suspect M cars and AMG’s will be on their way down. The market has topped and is now finally heading south. You heard it hear last!
(All of this might be wrong, please take with a pinch of salt but the chatter seems to support it this time!)
I bought my 1800 mile GT3 RS last year for 190k. I've banned the wife from checking Autotrader. But whatever. Many thousands of miles were enjoyed this year in it!
I hate unreliable cars made of cheese but it's really tempting to pick up a cheap 488 or 650 or even 720!
Unfortunately the drop in stock markets precludes such a thing....even if it also causes it.
Edit: A friend has just bought a 30-mile GT3 RS in a good colour + nice spec for 185k. So the well used ones are getting pretty cheap (there's a gash purple one with loads of miles at 149k) but the 'good' ones aren't too low. Even when I bought mine last year, only a few were advertised far above 200k (some obviously crazy speculative prices), most were 180 - 205.
Depends what you want, the GT3 RS is the best on track and doesn't need a fluffing from McLaren before and after you dare show it a circular piece of tarmac, but um on long drives on the road I wear earplugs lol.Yeah I was shocked as i was looking at 991.2 GT3 manual, about 150-160k now, also spotted same money would get me a 991.1 GT3 RS, that would be a very hard choice if I decide go GT3 next, but with other options been 570S or a 458 it won't be any easy choice. Probably easier to stop chasing and just stick with the SVR as a drive over the hills today to my buddies for a coffee in freezing weather down slippery lanes just shows how damn capable of a car it is, especially as it can still put all 600 horses down in such conditions.
