No its easily removable but that therefore means I have to fetch it back from the kid at the local chav family on a montly basis

Im not sure which one he has got there, but some just snap off, to save you ripping your victim a new one if you run a chav over etc.

£400 couple of years ago. Don't own the car anymore but kept the plate.

He hasnt got that now - Sold it to a friend of his.

V8 was on the E39

I saw someone with a private plate this morning starting with an L, and they had put a black screw cover in the cenre of the L, and 2 of them next to each other at the top to make it look like an E. Hope the coppers pull them over soon.
