PES 2010 demo releasing tomorrow

deary me...i loved PES 4, 5, 6 and 2008 to a point.

but this is just woefull. where's the jostling between players? where's the fluid dribbling and passing!

having played a dozen games of each demo it's clearly FIFA for the win again this year. 09 was awesome, 10 is shaping up to be the best footy game I've ever played (and I've played a lot over the years!)
 
Some things on PES a prefer over FIFA, mainly crossing. On FIFA the attackers don't seem to try hard enough to get on the ball when the cross comes in. Instead the attacker always seems to pre-empt the cross and end up just standing still hoping it will come to him. On PES the attacker seems to be correct and come charging into the cross from a few yards back.

I also found that the players on PES found free space a lot easier than on FIFA.

Overall I still think I prefer FIFA, PES just somehow feels a bit clunky and heavy handed at the moment. I hope it will get better again.
 
I tried it, it's not that bad to be honest, it's just very arcadey. Regardless, I will be going with Fifa 10 anyway.
 
Played the demo last night and from a previously die hard PES fan I can honestly say out of this and Fifa 10 I prefer the latter

Everything about the new PES just feels second rate next to Fifa :(
 
It's Fifa10 for me this year. This'll be the first year in about 4 that I haven't bought an evo game. Kinda sad but it just feels so old and mechanical :(
 
well i just found out that if yall get a jap account on your console you can download the demo of winnning eleven 10 allegedly a newer build of pes10 that fixes most issues

much more polished than the other demo, feels a little quick to respond and the animations seem slightly better the ball reacts better too and doesnt seem stuttery, well worth giving the jap version a try
 
PSM3 Magazine UK have given the game 89%. It's only one review but it's a lot higher than I expected and does give a little bit of hope that it won't completely suck after all.
