PES 2010 demo releasing tomorrow

I quite like it to be honest, grows on you after a few matches. I feel the same as mcwildcard, I just simply prefer pro evo.

There is no doubting Fifa is a great game though and I just think the majority of people on ocuk simply prefer Fifa while others will prefer PES elsewhere. At the end of the day, they are just both games intended for fun, they are not simulations and we should just enjoy which ever one we pick :)

I must admit, it is satisfying scoring a goal in PES, I have always wanted a football mod for Metal Gear Solid. :p

when my player got injured I found myself shouting "SSSSNNNNNNNAAAAAAAKKKKKKKEEEEEE" at the screen.
 
Another thing is why the hell release a demo of the current game and the squads are out of date. Come on Alonso left Liverpool ages ago.

And yes, i wont be cancelling my pre order. What another drab football game Konami have produced. I mean FFS sort it out.
 
My god it's awful. I stuck with them throughout 08 and 09 but this takes the biscuit. I loved fifa 09 it was a breath of fresh air.
In PSM3 it said that Pro Evo 2010 had the edge but that must have been a hell of a later build then this. It's awful.
Two weeks til Fifa as well :D

I was one of the biggest fans of Pro Evo, I never like the fifa series since FIFA 98 on the 64... BUT.. fifa10 is the best football game I have ever played.. the good thing is for all you Pro Evo fans is that you do have a very good alternative, you just have to put yourselves out to lean how to play another game!!!

FIFA10 is superb!!.. its time to step over to the dark side!!
 
hm just played PES10 demo.. its not as bad as a lot of ppl are making out..

however a few flaws remain from old games, the knock it to a wide player cut back, cross it in guarantee a goal is still there.

also on my first game germany my cpu opponent made a backpass from the edge of the 18 yard box.. the keeper tried to get to it and let it in (by like 1 mm over the line) before he could kick it clear...

game finished 1-1 my goal was an own goal from their player, their goal a cross and voley in right past my keeper:/

And this.

No doubt EA upped their game a few years back are king of the football games. But after playing both demo's I think Pro Evo most certainly has got better this year. Graphics wise it looks sweet. On the downside the AI leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes what would be an obvious pass goes to another player who's marked.
 
I've played every PES demo since I owned the fantastic PES6, and this is one of the better versions. Sadly, gameplay wise, it doesn't even match PES6 imo.

I'm a FIFA boy now, but I'd still love Konami to pull something out the bag at least once more in the next 5 years as the old Pro Evo's were just fantastic. Or could it be that EA's game is just so damn good that it's spoit all of us that have been playing it the past 2 years? It seems the people that haven't "converted" to FIFA over the past few years, but stuck with the flailing ex-champion, like this demo over FIFA.

beh..

sometimes i want my guy to pass it horizontally and im holding the correct direction and instead of cutting a square pass it boots it diagonally to someone else, who is either marked or in a bad position:/

also the ai doesnt sem to want to 'run onto' the ball and will make a forward (for example) track backa couple of paces instead of charging amidfielder forward and then putting you in charge of said midfielder... if that makes sense.
 
Anyone think this plays slighty better on PS3 than 360 or is that just me?

Downloaded on 360 last week played few games seemed abit slow. Got it on PS3 today and semt to play a little bit better.

At the min its FIFA 10 on 360 and PES2010 for me.
 
It's still not back to where it was pes6 and before there is a floaty and delayed feel to everying almost a bit like playing on ice is the only way i can describe it ? passing has a delayaed action
 
the delay on shooting is very apparent. I kept running into the keeper when wanting to chip him. I dont think its as bad as people are saying. On the PS3 it at least runs smoothly (08 which is the last i had was plagued with slowdown). Just needs more work on fluidity and better AI. Would be nice to have players that play differently. Certain midfielders should bomb forward when another midfielder has the ball.

Pes was always good because thy put so much effort into individual players so they would play like their real life player. i THINK IT WAS DOWN TO HAVING LESS TEAMS MEANT THEY COULD HONE IN HOW EACH TEAM PLAYED. (oops caps). The players felt real. I think over the years with more and more teams its lost that, they all feel the same.

Both games could be improved a lot but this year its Fifa for me again. At least i wont have to go searching for a championship option file to play as the hoops.
