they where never able to prove it iirc, and yes the law states you can get 7 years for possession of heroin yet they don't give that to anyone now as the prisons are too full/its just not worth the money. they go after the dealers.

I totally agree with this.
When I was working in the Juvenile Prison I would always ask how many crimes they'd been done for before being imprisoned and I was gobsmacked.
I don't think many will actually be put in prison for being a junkie.
Doherty is lucky because he doesn't have to steal to get his fix so he's a menace to no-one.

Dude he is just another junkie, you think the cops want to, or can, go after all junkies in the UK and jail them? That's not possible, but what is quite possible is that he was just helping the girl to a shot, there's no point iving heroin to an unconscious person unless you want them to die I guess

I totally agree. I'm envious that i have to work bloody hard to earn what i can to support my family and this weedy little **** stain can pen a song and earn millions from it??? He's probably sold more records due to his drug-induced imfamy too.....which reallt grates me. Dumb public!

Sometimes you have to state the obvious on here to try and puts thing back into perspective, especially in a thread full of idiots that want a man dead because of a drug addiction.
I never said I wanted him dead! All I said is that I'd like to see the talentless junkie actually pay for his crimes like the rest of us would have to if we were caught doing the same things. A slap on the wrist and "don't do it again" are not viable punishments.
For the last time, this isn't the case and not every junkie goes to jail! And I am out of this topic, lol.
