XJR8= 14MPG-Town, 17MPG-Average, 24MPG 60MPH run.

X-Type 2.5= 22MPG-Town, 28MPG Average, 36MPG Motorway.

306 TD= (for the missis when she passes) 35MPG-Town, 40MPG Average, 50MPG Motorway.

48-50mpg pre service up to 52mpg after. Doing 90 miles a day it's cut my fuel bills massively and that's without driving like a saint.

330d - last tank saw just over 400 miles.

outside on my drive at the moment there is a rather colourful puddle, i think i have another leak!

I'm averaging 29.8 at the moment, mostly motorway work but a fair bit of traffic and in town too. That's over 790 miles so far, since I've started paying attention.

Motorway cruise registers somewhere in the mid 30s but whether you could meaningfully sustain it or not I've yet to try. Need a trip that consumes a whole tank in one run :D

Think my 02 sensor has gone as I get about 200miles from 45L

Used to get 42mpg on the motorway if going to the extreme.

Average of 54.9mpg on trip computer for last 700 miles. Besy i have had was 64mpg on a 60-70mph run from Leeds to the outskirts of Edinburgh in the early hours. Car is a 1.5dci Clio.

I got 59MPG on a 20 mile trip in my 1.2 8v petrol Punto the other day. 10 mile 70mph motorway and 10 mile just normal 40mph roads with roundabouts and stuff. Use to get more than 400 miles to about 35 litres.

New car I'm averaging about 24mpg as it's all town driving and I'm still getting use to the car, althought I've done 50 miles and the needle has only gone down an 1/8th so I'm gussing the computer is giving out the wrong value.

My girlfriend only gets 200-odd miles out of a full tank (35 litres) in her 1.3 KA. Although as far as we know it hasn't been services for about 4 years.

~20-25 short journeys/around town, 30-35 longer journeys

A lot less when putting the foot down though

Averaged 29mpg overall, probably not helped by some fairly long journeys on speed friendly french motorways/autobahns

Car is a TT-S

31mpg average on my daily commute (50% stop start A roads and 50% motorway).
34mpg average on a recent 400mile trip from Southampton to Derby and back (lots of hills!)
43mpg average on a 400mile trip from Portsmouth to South Wales and back last year (quite a nice flat run)

2.0 Mondeo : Last weekends trip to the Nurburgring resulted in an average of about 38 MPG I think. I last filled up in Belgium and made it home on the same tank, about 460 miles. It's usually about 32 MPG average on a day to day basis.

1.8 Integra : God knows, it use it so infrequently I don't really keep track of how much fuel it uses. When I did pay attention it wasn't all that much more thirsty than the Mondeo, though. Probably about 26-28 average? It only gets driven when I want to drive properly ;)

Around 22ish for my RS4 on a run, much less around town. Been using the wifes S-Line TDLard this week and when I filled the tank its said 820 miles range. The RS4 tends to need 3 tank fulls and then some to show that.....but then the TDLard sent me to sleep when parked and put me into a coma when on the move so its all about whats important to you...

I was just thinking the same.

By the way, my mpg isn't from a trip computer, it was worked out manually by filling, driving, filling and then working out.

Haven't done enough motorway driving to work out manually, but the computer said between 63 and 66 mpg.

1998 Mondeo V6
I average around 23-25mpg, I can get 30mpg on a motorway trip (not at 70mph though :p ) If I'm driving in heavy traffic or driving it hard it can quite easily drop under 20mpg
