Petrol tanker drivers to go on strike

3 Petrol Stations in Dartford have run out already

Looks like I'll have to go to the somerfield garage which is at £1.43! Hate paying over the top

Absolute morons.

Guess what the price of petrol and diesel has gone up by a few pence and it will more than likely stay there. They don't have anyone to blame apart from themselves.

The Texaco station down the road from me put his UL up 5 and a bit p or so over night. This morning and just now on my way home from work it was pretty packed. Bet he's well happy. :D

Not half.... Can't believe that's all the economy you get from that engine

Yep, W reg 1.25 litre engine owner here, although to be fair this is all town driving (6 mile commute each way to work etc):

On runs I can attain 47mpg, which is much better.

On a related note, I'm getting low on fuel and everywhere is running out. I'm also supposed to be going to Alton Towers on Monday

I fart in the general direction of fuel economy  Had just filled up here, so full tank.

My missus typically gets mid 30s mpg from her Y reg 1.25 fiesta. Most of her journeys are about 2-3 miles though. She got 44 on a run once...

That small tank must be very annoying surely!

I think I'm just going to have to join the queues tomorrow. There doesn't appear to be a good time / quiet period during the day to fuel with all this panic buying.

It seems

6 - 10am: people on the way to work / school queuing to buy fuel.
12 - 2pm: people on lunch queuing to fuel
3pm - 5pm: people picking their kids of up from school / general rush queuing. Or petrol has completely run out by then.
6pm - late evening: people finishing work and queuing. Or petrol has completely run out by then.

Maybe 11am is the time to go :p

Just went with my friend an hour or so ago and the queues were all the way outside down the road.
