Just did this over on another forum as the votes are to be done within the next couple of weeks. I'm guessing that it'll be between the following;

PFA Player of the Year

Fabregas
Nasri
Tevez
Gerrard (as he's always in there)
Bale
Van Der Vaart

PFA Young Player of the Year

Fabregas
Nasri
Wilshire
Bale
Hart
Carroll

Personally I think United have plenty of shouts in both categories with Berbatov, Vidic, Nani and Rafael but with this common consensus that we haven't played well in any games this season I can see all of those being overlooked

I reckon Fabregas will get the main prize with Bale getting the Young Player award

Tevez for Player of the year as he has been a one man army this year and scored some great goals. I think Nasri for the young player of the year as he has been fantastic and scored some top goals.

Impartiality at it's best I see :p

Without Tevez, Man City would not be where they are. He gets player of the year no question asked.

Bale is obviously the best young talent. His hat trick at the san siro was special.

Vidic should definitely be in there, and Nani has possibly been one of the best players in 2011 so his omission is baffling, certainly done a **** load more than Bale, let alone Gerrard.

I would say Rafael has done more than Wilshere as well.

Read my post again mate, that list is by no means official and I stated why I doubt any United players will get the recognition they deserve :)

Berbie should be in there IMO, been incredible this season.

See out of the four that Tom mentioned I would say he was the least deserving. Don't get me wrong he has been vastly improved this season but it's for the calender year 2011 and he had quite a poor end to last season iirc. Also I think Vidic and Nani have been more important to us this year, Vidic is just a rock and Nani has created and scored some really important goals consistently for the entire calender year.

I'd put forward Vidic and Berbatov for United.

Tevez for City.

Nasri for Arsenal.

Modric for Spurs.

Nobody else I can think of worth mentioning.

Tevez and Van Der Vaart have been the best non-Arsenal players I've seen this season, though I think Nasri has been better than either of them, though I admit this could well be down to me seeing more of him than the others.

EDIT: If it's for calendar year, then I guess VDV is less of a good pick, though it seems the votes never pay attention to that either. I'd also say it probably edges Tevez ahead, on account of how Nasri wasn't hitting these heights at the end of last season.

Read something interesting regarding Berbatov's goals this season, haven't checked to see if it's quite right though. Berbatov has scored 14 league goals in 20 league appearances, but he's only actually scored in 5 games

And from Tom's list, I'll go for Tevez and Bale.

Newcastle 1
West Ham 1
Everton 1
Liverpool 3 :D
Blackburn 5
Sunderland 2
Birmingham (away) 1
Birmingham (home) 3

So he's scored in 8 league games this season (and against Chelsea in the CS)
