PGR4 Demo on XBL???

Pretty funny coming from Mr. PS3 I must say.

Sorry to buck the trend I really wanted you all to like me too :( all I ever wanted was to be part of the gang. :D

The fact remains it's just yet another FIFAesque rehash with very little worthwhile improvement.

P.S. Welcome to the high definition era*.

* Games will be upscaled from pee poor resolutions and frame-rate chopped in half.

I do agree to a certain extent, it is basically the game that PGR3 was supposed to be. Bizzare freely state that Microsft ripped PGR3 away from them to get it out as a launch title.

That doesn't detract from the fact that it is an awesome, awesome game though.

I have to say that I didn't like the demo very much at all. It feels a step backwards from PGR3 to me and I just couldn't take to it at all. The graphics are nice, the tracks are cool, the weather effects are brilliant, but the driving just doesn't feel right and that's the important thing for me.

Roll on NFS: ProStreet.

Well I set this downloading last night when a mate was round. Decided to take it retro so played through Golden Axe twice, about 2 hours of Track and Field (nearly phoned in sick today :o :p ) then played through TMNT... then at about midnight fired up the PGR4 demo. OMFG it was like a visual orgasm :o

Absolutely awesome! I want it soooo much but I'm currently saving for an ipod :o

Somewhere better have this cheap... and fast or else I'm going to be caning the demo non stop!

quick question skmming through the thread, which bikes come with the demo? *prays its a sports bike*

only class C so the bikes are pretty dull in this demo, triumph tripple and an old Honda NSR750 I think they are (thats off the top of my head, I may be wrong)

Hoping it has a nice wide range of bikes to play with, R1 please :p

Didnt really like the game that much on the first couple of go's, just thought Macau does look nice but its really narrow, hard to pratice your drift skills. But i stuck with it and really got into it, just hoping my copy arrives before I go on my hols next week.

Ive told myself im not allowed to buy this until I've completed forza 2, including the 2 online achievements :(

I said the same, but im just so bored of forza, its like pulling teeth sometimes, I think they forgot along the line that games should be FUN!

Awesome and after an hour blatting round Macau last night I think it's got the best car handling I've ever played on a console. Graphics are stunning. The range of race types looks better. A definite buy tomorrow.

The bike handling feels poor in comparison and the snow isn't anywhere near slippery enough. That said, I'm hooked.

Yeah, Im not finding it very fun anymore, i just wanted to complete it and be done with it, Im odd and dont like leaving achievements behind :p . The 1 mil online credits might be very long though.

Show me a better looking driving game.

Infact, it's one of the best looking games I've seen, period.
As Ive said I'm going to give it another go as it was quiet late when I played it, but the car I was in (Ferrari) just looked quite cartoony and unrealistic. Didn't really pay too much attention to the surrounding track at the time, obviously one of the best things about PGR3 was the surroundings - loved the London tracks.

I'm sure once I give it a bit more time, and reload both PGR3 and Forza 2 I'll be singing its praises but from first impressions I was just underwhelmed (Much as I was when I first played the Forza demo).

Good game overall, the handling is a lot stiffer than PGR3 which is no bad thing once adjusted to. Looks nice overall and less jaggys is a bonus, the weather looks good but it didn't blow me away in the gfx department.

The vehicles themselves, if anything, are the least impressive bit but as I play using bumper cam its all good for me :p
