Ok, little bit of a problem with the case.

Finally got round to taking the front 200mm fan out to replace with 2 x 140mm fans. The trouble is whilst the holes in the chassis align with the holes in the fans the actual chassis holes are far too small (diameter) for the fan screws. I checked both the fan screws supplied with the fans and with the case and they definitely won't fit... even with a bit of "persuasion". I have let Phanteks know and await their reply.

Anyone else had this issue?

You using the long screws that go through the fan from the front?

Or are you using short case screws? And screwing from inside the case into the fan? These are the same screws needed for the rear 140mm fan. The front needs the long screws that go through the fan into the case.

I'm having to, yes. But as these are the ones that formerly attached the 200mm fan and Phanteks don't supply additional ones in their box of accessories I can currently only fit the one. Bit of an oversight on Phanteks's part.

Is that still using the smoked window? Some serious brightness there, whats lighting did you use?

This is something I'd like to do as well. Can you post some pics when youre done?

I had spares they are standard screws that come with AIO watercooling units and some other bits and bobs.

Snips im using the Bitfenix Alchemy white led strip. Yes that's with the smoked window. Its the smallest strip too the 12cm one.

I'll be swapping out the PSU in a few weeks, adding the backplate to the 980 and changing the rear fan as it is definitely audible compared to the others too. Absolutely love the case though. Moving forward will be making it look prettier with some colour coordination but for now, here's my spec: -

Phanteks Evolv Gunmetal
i5 4670k
GTX 980 ref
8GB Team Extreem DDR3-2400
Asrock Z87M Extreme 4
Creative XFi Titanium
Asetek 570LXL 240mm Radiator with 2 x Aerocool DS Fans
60GB Corsair SSD (OS)
500GB Crucial SSD (Steam)
4TB Seagate SSHD (Data)
27" Asus ROG Swift
XFX 550w Bronze (Swapping to a SuperFlower Leadex Gold soon)

There appears to be a lot more space inside that case then I’d have thought, my main reason for waiting for the ATX version was to watercool but the size of this case is more appealing.

How easy do you think it would be for a relative WC novice to get a full loop going, or would it just not be practical?

Would need to cool a 4790k and a Titan X, not looking for seriously low temps, just cool and relatively quiet.
