But in real world terms, it does. Just got my Evolv and 2x ssd bracket delivered, the 2x bracket touches the door when closed and just bends the motherboard tray by a mm or 2 when the doors closed, but I doubt it'll affect anything. Doesn't leave a mark on the door.
Oh and the case is awesome.
This lot is being chucked in the case (gratuitous tower of kit shot!) Along with a couple of 580's, 2x SSD's and a 3570k
Build all done, the cable straps are a godsend, cable management without any effort required!
That was part way through, SSD's and GPU are now in.
Temps are pretty damn good, in my old case (Fractal ARC mini) my 580 was hitting high 70's, and the 3570k at stock under the stock intel cooler would be in the low 70's playing GTA V.
GPU max after 20 mins of GTA V was 69 degrees, cpu max at 4.5Ghz @ 1.22v was 55 degrees in GTA V, and the same after 30 mins of OCCT, hitting 75 in prime95. H110i GT on quiet mode.
I'll do a proper stability run over the weekend but it seems good. I did try with a 4.6Ghz OC and a little more volts but it wasn't having it.
I'll be adding a 2nd GTX580 tonight too so we'll see how that affects the temps
it's a matte grey, very slightly darker than battleship grey I'd say. It's very nice in person.
SLI 580's and a 3570k at 4.5Ghz.
Gets a little toasty playing games but that's to be expected. The 580's will be replaced by a single 980ti in a few weeks/couple of months (depending on the launch price).
Might look at getting some new 140mm fans for the H110i, on quiet mode they're fine but anything above they're a bit loud. CPU temps are fine on quiet mode though tbh.
I love this case but the mATX is a bit larger than desired. It looks like an mATX board could fit in the ITX version - the PSU is offset from the mobo from what I've seen in photos but the cage between the PSU and mobo is riveted. Can anyone get some close up shots of this area and perhaps give me an idea of how easy/difficult it would be for me to mod it (i.e. cut away enough of the cage for it to fit the board)?
I only have one GPU and don't want another really. In retrospect I wish I'd gone with an ITX board but it was my first build a year ago. Not sure my budget could stretch to a new mobo and the case; ITX boards aren't cheap.
Nevermind: never realised before but mATX boards are wider than ITX ones. I thought they were just longer.
