Enthoo Primo Special Edition black/red interior has red lighting. ;)

Changing the LED strips and power button lights is not a big deal. Several have done it. Jesse on TheModZoo even did a tutorial about it.

What are stock phanteks fans like? Ive just bought a shedload of black/red alpenfohn red clovers. And got some custom red/white/black braided cables coming next week. Was gonna get a corsair 540 but unsure now. I do prefer a conventional tower style case.

I haven't really tested them but they perform similar to the TY-140/147 fans both in airflow and noise.. so I quite like them.

As soon as I'm back on my feet I'll be testing a new cooler (CRYORIG R1 Ultimate) so will test PH-F140SP (& older PH-F140HP), TY-147... and of course TY-143. :D
R1 performance is in same range as other top coolers. All I've done so far is a few heat cycles to seat TIM but that's enough for me to know it's definitely in the front of the pack. Running these other fans will show us how well the CRYORIG FX140 fan compares to others.

Seen your thread about the cryorig. Ill be keeping my existing k2 but changing the piranha fans on it. Like to keep all fans the same to keep up the colour theme. Want to match the build to my Rog motherboard. Hopefully the luxe will be released soon as i definitely think ill go for it.

Finally got around to cleaning the front dust filter today. Boy is it good at catching dust..... maybe a little too good.
Really happy with the airflow I have even though the way it sits is quite restrictive in that department (not raised off floor and with non-modded front panel).

Sometime this week I might pull it out and see what the dust looks like on the inside (the smokey window panel isn't great in that regard) :p

sachielAdji,
So easy to pull out with a castor base. :p
Let me know if you want one. Might be able to help you get one together. ;)

Setter,
Phanteks is saying release date for Enthoo Luxe is March.

Ive found the fans to be really really good, even on full tilt they arent hideously loud, obviously you can hear them but its not defeaning and if you have a headset on you dont notice, not that i ever run them full tilt though, only if im purposely pushing them to max for testing.

Using the PWM hub lets them idle slow and quiet until system get hot, needs more cooling / air and then the speed up. Works very well. ;)

March, not too far off then. Think i can live with the shinobi xl a bit longer.
Shinobi XL is a good case. I'm surprised how close in size it is to Enthoo Luxe

Shinobi XL = 245x557x570mm (WxHxD)

Enthoo Luxe = 235x560x550mm (WxHxD)
Enthoo Primo = 250x650x600mm

I removed the center panel in lower cover on my Enthoo Primo, simple to do by removing a few screws. Also put a castor base under it as stock bottom only has vent area equivalent to a 120mm fan.. raised on castor base now give it more area than 4x 140mm fans. and as it weights 38 pound empty makes it much easier to move around. ;)

I've noticed in videos of Enthoo Luxe the base is more open.. and suspect the center of front vent can be removed same as Enthoo Primo.

Here's another video of Enthoo Luxe built and in use at CES

Cheque cleared today, now that I can afford it safely I am considering this. How is the room behind the motherboard for cables? for example, thick braided from PSU, with added Bitfenix extension, and two extensions for the GPU, would this easily cope and close well?

And are the panels slide on clips like the majority, or slide down and then close at the top etc?

There's a ton of space for cable management. You have to remember that the psu is behind the mobo so you have a large area out of view to sort out cables.

The doors are kinda hinged on and then just thumb screwed, no sliding panels as such.

I see your in Kent, if your anywhere near Medway your welcome to come have a look at mine :) although my PC is out of action while I RMA the mobo and Kuhler lol.

Si
