Very pleased with the case guys. Excellent standard of fit/finish and great attention to detail. Should hopefully have the build finished tonight though im still waiting on a further six corsair fans coming.
Will do, btw for anyone who has used corsair af/sp fans. What's the best screws to use with theese, conventional fan screws don't work well in the elongated slots on the primo, in trying to fit 120mm sp's in the front.
Ended up using some rubber pull through bolts i had that came with 5x alpenfohn red clover fans. Quite handy too as you can slide the fans along the grooves without marking the case. All up and running now guys, currently at stock on the cpu, temps at 24-25-26-26. Swapped all the stock fans for corsair sp, (x4) and 1 alpenfohn red clover in the bottom. The latter is a temporary fan until i get the rest of the corsairs in.
Didnt bother using the fan hub, just have the two cpu fans on the dual cpu headers and the rest on 5 mobo headers, good cooling and very quiet. Quick shot of the innards, (nokia lumia 620 cam is a bit rubbish).
Gonna work out a better way to route the pcie extensions, theyre a stiff plastic braid. Or get a bit cut out of the res bracket so that it fits past the back end of the gpu. Ill put up a few better shots once i get my digital camera.
Regarding the front panel clips, is it possible to get replacements from phanteks. They appear to be quite flimsy so it would be nice to have a few spare.
Using the method you describe does work very well for removing/replacing the panel. The magnet idea does sound interesting. Aside from this tiny niggle im very impressed with the case. Very quiet too despite me replacing the stock fans for corsairs throughout. Even though the front panel is a bit restrictive airflow is still quite good, much much better than the shinobi that had practically zero intake.
I think the latches should have been in the corners. Would have eliminated the flex in cross bar when just pushing.
The front is not too bad as it has some side venting too. The bottom is another matter. The filter side (left) has no airflow under base. The front and right side have very little. I totaled up the area and found it about the same as a single 120mm fan has.
Not a problem as I always use a caster base anyway.
A castor base is out of the question for me sadly. The case slides below my desk with about 3mm to spare. Lian li have an excellent system for holding their front panerls in place. A prong on the panel that locates with a locking lug on the case frame. Very quick to take off/put on and replacements available should they wear out
Need some advice with setting up fans. I have put in a 360 rad in the top and a 480 in the bottom.
How should I have the fans setup? I was thinking of going top 360 as exhaust with fans as push, 480 as intake with the fans as pull. Leave the two front 140mm case fans as intake and also leave the rear fan as exhaust.
I obviously want positive pressure to reduce dust.
The 480 is using Gentle Typhoons and the 360 is using SP-120 quite fans and all fans are on a controller.
That should work nicely. I suggest raising case up on blocks about 35mm. I suspect it will improve airflow as the bottom venting is very limited. I use a custom base with 6x 30mm castors. Makes it easier to move too.
Gonna try my akasa FC6 fan controller in one of the 5.25 bays. 30w peer channel and according to another forum member here it can be fitted behind the case door. Hopefully as i want to remove any visible cable from the case, cpu fans will be on the PWM headers. Had this case for a week or so, brilliant for air cooling, just wish i could afford to stick a watercooling loop in. Phanteks got it perfect on both cooling fronts.

Any chance you could share details of the bases construction? Alternatively I think you have said you made a few before you were happy with the appearance. Would happily buy one off you and don't mind how it looks.
Setter, you could put some non stick anti-friction tape (PTFE (Teflon) or UHMW) on bottom. I sometimes use it for drawer slides. Auction site has it for less than four quid. Probably better to use 2" stirps over the rubber pads onto plastic on each end so it can't get caught and pulled off of pad.
