I did notice while running the benchtest the gpu load was up at 98% and 99% but the cpu never went over 15% so I presume thats good as my cpu isint throttling my gpu

What clocks is your 7950 @ and yes i just use 1 card, my volts are @ 1.189 with power limit at 15%, and are you talking about gpu temps or cpu temps.

gpu temps. I had it sitting at 1100 core and 1400 memory

Here heaven, downing loading valley now, and yeah cpu does not have much play in gpu benchmarks, fancy giving 3dmarks ago again

Yeah i have, my top score is 823 @5.17ghz but i do a run @4.5 when back on the pc later.

Im still using win 7 best I can get is 677 @ 4.5Ghz

Im not even going to try single core as my highest has been 123.
yea I think on the standard Cinebench test both our chips running at 4.5Ghz the Fx8350 has the edge as it has 8 cores.
makes me think that next year ill need to look out for a cheap 4790k
( I want upgrade my gpu first though. )
Im hoping my Fx8350 gets replaced under warranty ( its away at the moment ) as if it does I would love to see what I could get out of it.

You have the stronger cores.
You get three years warranty unless it was oem chip, most will do 4.8 or more if you got the cooling for it, i can game on mine at 5ghz but my motherboard gets too hot (46c) then turns off the pc.
For a gpu your be better waiting till new cards come out as will have a die shink.
yea my chip is a retail it was bought from OC as part of a bundle.
as I say im using an H80i I would love a custom loop but to be honest that would be out of my comfort zone at the moment.
I have been looking at other coolers and have read some good reviews on the H110i gt so I might look for one of them after ive got my other bits done.
It will be next year I look at getting a new card unless something comes up at a bargain price as with having 2 young kids and Christmas only being 2 pay packets away theres more stuff needing money spent on it rather than a gpu sadly.
