** PHANTEKS EVOLV ATX GLASS - MAKING A GREAT CASE EVEN BETTER **

I'm guessing Petelock's case is silver, rather than gunmetal?

Here's a few shots of mine:

I've lent my polarising filter to my brother right now, so sorry for the reflection from the glass!

I'm going to post more shots and details on my project log.

Does anyone remember who did the mod on this case to fit fans on the radiator mount? Been trying to find it all night as I wanna do the same so my radiator is a little higher.

edit; nm I found it. Wondering whether to either do that mod or wait for some Scythe Slip Stream slims to come in stock and drill a few holes in the top of the case.

Basically it's between cutting out a few struts or drilling a few holes.

Hi,

I have a hard drive situated in a 'silent' enclosure meaning it needs space for a 5 1/4" bay. I know there's no official 5 1/4" support, but does anyone know if it would fit in the basement, and I could possibly secure somewhere on the basement floor?

Thanks. It was quite straight forwards really:

1. Cut (or order pre-cut) a piece of 1mm polystyrene / plasticard 440mm x 470mm
2. Mark out holes on sheet in alignment with the glass panel
3. Use a 12mm spade bit to drill 4 holes
4. Apply any artwork (I ordered and used metal based ROG stickers)
5. Dust / clean thoroughly
6. Line up polystyrene sheet and stick in place with black eletrical tape

Thanks also if you dont mind me asking where did you buy your asus badge from?

Thanks, I didn't think so - although it is the same width as a PSU.
Sorry mate, completely forgot. You'd probably have to drill something out to fit it sideways but I wouldn't advise that. I think I have actually seen someone take the cover plate for the hard drives off and have a fan controller sort of facing up. I do think it'd only work with something like a Lamptron FC6 though.

There are a few places around but I got mine from modsticker as they sell the larger ones. Whilst I'm here, a picture of the new stand I made for the case which also sports one of these (posted the build for the stand in the project logs section):

Still waiting for another 1080 Strix to show up - I'll post some pics once it's complete.

Anyone know where I can get some replacement black case standoffs for this case.

Bought it B grade and all the standoffs were installed but think the previous owner cross threaded some of them as two of the screws are just spinning when trying to tighten and I'm pretty sure my motherboard is now stuck in the case unless I can find a way to get them out without damaging the board.

How are owners finding the temps cimpoared to previous cases comparable or not as good? I fancy a change and like the look of this case but wondering if the airflow is up to it.

Should be spares in the box of screws, if you got it.

This is the best case I have owned in years and I have had quite a few recently. I gave up my internal Blue Ray drive and went external just for this case :)

Can anyone recommend good fans for intake? got bitfenix spectre pro 140mm's but they seem to push air to the side and air intake feels blocked. im guessing some high static pressure fans will do the best job?

Well I took the plunge today. After a good friend at a gaming forums I sometimes frequent showed me a pic I fell in love with the whole tempered glass case bandwagon. My current case is fine but just fancied a changed.

I was going to also order the phanteks led starter kit but decided against that and ordered the NZXT hue+ v2 instead.

JUst looking to transform my current build from the old cas
e into the new case. Look at replacing the stock fans with maybe something like the white LED corsair ML pro and look about putting a water cooling setup inside possibly.

I've just ordered mine today as it was between this or the Luxe and in the end i've gone with this case in Gun Metal. :D

However, what it does mean is that I can no longer fit the MB I was going to buy in it which was the Rampage V Edition 10, so I will need to go with the Deluxe or the Strix now. :(

What size Phanteks LED strips are the correct size for this case? Also are the fans which come with the case PWM based?
