PHANTEKS EVOLV X & P600S

I personally dont think it is wrong to charge in advance, otherwise youd get scenarios where say they had 100 of a certain item and they sell all on pre orders that havent yet been paid for then if im customoer 101 with the cash in hand, i would be turned away with a good few of the pre orderers never coughing up and paying the cash when it comes to it being time to pay.
Youd essentially be promoting to have dreamers everywhere bragging to friends that they have pre ordered a case that they will never intend to buy/afford anyway.

Does anyone know if this pre order means that we will recieve the cases ourselves by the 10th, or do ocuk just get 1st delivery on the 10th and we will get on the 11th? (if pre ordered in time of course). They must already have a sample or 2 in order to have done the youtube and site reviews.

I don't mean to troll, but I'm wondering what this has over the BeQuiet Dark Base 700 that is £60 cheaper and includes very good Silent Wing 3 fans? I've had my eye on getting a BeQuiet case, but considering other options.

The BeQuiet DB 700 is a very good case so there are not huge advantages. Some would be: More SSD mounts, cleaner tempered glass panels (no thumb screws) and better cable routing. The Evolv X is more modular in some areas but the DB 700 in others.

I see a lot of people concerned about the temperatures of this case based on the hardware canucks review.

Sure, late 80s to 90 degrees is pretty toastie but if you look at the temps with no front panel on and no dust filters attatched (almost open bench) the card he is using (which must be a pretty poor card with a terrible thermal design or simply needs re-pasting) is almost as hot as Megan Fox in her birthday suit, and thats whether it's inside or as good as outside of the case.

I think the idea of the temp review was only really to show and demonstrate temperature differences from the front panel and dust filters being on to being almost open case and to then compare and see how the front panel negatively effects air cooling. i dont think its really been done to actually consider his specific (very hot card) temps.

If you look at it this way, his specific hot card is at 85+ regardless of having no front panel or dust filter on anyway, with the front panel and dust filter on/installed, it literally only makes a mere 5 degree shift (at most), which i actually think is pretty impressive to be fair.

I was looking at DB700, when it was released.

To me, DB is very closed case, which disqualified it completely. There is no ventilation on the top at all, front is also closed and I plan to install 2 rads. I was burnt on the original evolv atx and the temps. This evolv hasn't convinced me completely yet, but it should have better airflow than the previous versions.

I don't understand at all cases that say are built for silence. They are always warmer so you have to increase fan speeds to match cooler case otherwise you have got a cooker  and they are louder with higher fan speeds?

DB has worse built quality, screws instead of hinges on the side glass panels. Metal panels are not as good, as thick as evolv, they also leave lots of fingerprints, worse cable management (evolv now has also panels that can cover all cabling), RGB instead of DRGB which has more options, looks better to me on evolv and DB panel with RGB contacts can easily get damaged.

Fans are good in evolv as well if you need 140 fans, I don't so I bought Silent Wings already.

Not sure if all of this is worth to someone £60, to me it is (airflow is the most important in comparison to DB, it doesn't matter that much I guess for ppl who want to only have cpu air cooler/aio and case fans).

Although the Evolv X supports 3x 140MM fans in front, I imagine it won't support that with 320mm rad on top? If so would 2x 140mm fans or 3x120mm fans be more ideal for the front then?

cases are getting more restrictive for design aesthetics, which is prob the top selling attribute .

If you've got very good fans like Silent wing 3's , which you can run at pretty much 100% and not hear when case is closed up and about 2ft away from you or more - the high static pressure then have and airflow compensate a lot for poor airflow design .

Have the Evolv mATX with 3 pure wing fans- didnt notice much of a drop in temps with the front panel on or off , top was about 5c . the amount of positive pressure just force out air through most of the grilles gaps etc .

could have a stunning airflow case design like Meshy C and poor fans and set up and will just be as bad etc

really want the best airflow in the Evolv, high air flow fan at the front which is pulling air in through the front gaps, static pressure isn't much of issue hear as thats more of a push thing.
at the top, you want high static to push through the mesh and then at the rear another high air flow :)
