Am looking at ordering an EVOLV X tonight :):):)

Am going start off with just air cooling and then hoping to upgraded to water cooling over the next 2 to 3 months

Is it best to just buy normal fans and use Phantek Halos or is it best to buy RGB Fans ??

Probably not case exclusive but on the off chance. Anyone experience pretty loud humming whether door is open/closed?
Presume its a fan causing it but not sure and struggle to isolate as I can open the door and stop a fan by hand but obviously the humming disappears.

Check it not the PSU fan

I just replaced the fan in my PSU about a week ago as the whining & humming sounds it was making was driving me nuts..

Looking to replace mine as it’s been nothing but trouble since I got it

What problems have you had?

Good shout, need to figure out a way to isolate it all to test as its a complete non-issue with door open. (So assume by door being closed vibrations are amplified)

Internal rear panels broken, poor leds not keeping colour- bleeding, dodgy USB ports and of course the poor airflow.
Definitely got caught with the style over substance with this one
It’s an Evolv X btw

I haven't had any problems with my Evolv X yet

Sure it not the motherboard or software why you're LED's are not keeping there colour ?
What wrong with the USB ports ? as mine seem to be working fine

I haven't seem anyone else in this thread write anything about the problems you're getting..

The USB ports drop out constantly have tried 3 different mobos- the c doesn’t work at all
The leds no being controlled by mobo- just the phanteks options- the solid colour option just changes and bleeds
Fallen out with this case massively unfortunately as it still looks amazing

I haven't tried the USB-C port as i no have any USB-C to USB-C cables to test it with my mobile phone
(i only have USB-A to USB-B & USB-C & USB Micro cables)

I haven't tried using the LED's by the button on the front as i plugged them straight into my motherboard that way the LED colour syncs with everything else in my PC

Really bad mobile phone picture of my Evolv X
(All the LED's are red but the camera makes them look kind of whitish)

I would think one the best ways to have great airflow in a case would be to have three 140mm or bigger inlet fans along the bottom and two or three 140mm exhaust fans at the top

But the way the Evolv X is designed your not going get much better airflow unless it had just a mesh front and there the P600s if someone wanted one with a mesh front..;)

Sometime the glass door on the left hand side vibrates... try pressing it into the case and see if the noise stops.

I see you also have a Dark rock pro 4 cooler

Make sure to check the height of your GPU ;) As my Strix GPU is a bit of a tight fit :D:D

(Asus lists the size of my Strix as 304.7mm x 130.4mm x 54.1mm

Yeah the dark rock is in my old pc, this time I've got a Noctua nh d15 cromax. I've been happy with my dark rock pro though, squeezed it in a micro atx
