Phenom II X6

Then add the extra we get charged for the lolz. Probably looking around £200.

Im guessing so as I cant see them being release £10-20 dearer that X4s it wouldnt make sense to quads unless they drop the price of them.

If you've read in thread, there is a retailer online who is pricing the X6s from £169.99 delivered.

So we are getting a direct conversion from US to GBP then + VAT. No price increase for us it looks like.

1090T should be £230 odd. Which is pretty much exactly 1.5x more than the 965 BE :)

I wonder if an Athlon II X6 will be released too?? :p

The only AM3 mini ITX motherboard I can think off is made by Sapphire:

the only problem is that it doesnt have a SPDIF port :/

Will it even take 125w cpu's?

The i5's and i7's are 95w so they are fine in mini-itx, but i want 6 core lol.

I just sold my 965 so I could keep my gigabyte 790 UD5 and drop in a 6 core or sell it all and go mini-itx. I don't have much space and my atx case sticks out a lot.

Dunno what to do.

Mini-ITX board for a thuban is pushing it for sure. You probably won't be able to clock one on such a small board even if it did exist I reckon. Not very well anyway. What about micro-atx? There are some quite small cases like the Lian Li V351 that take all other standard components.

There is a 95W version of the X6 1055T which has been mentioned in the AMD roadmaps.

i wonder tommorow if everyone in this thread who mentioned other retailers prices without actually mentioning who the retailer is will all get one month bans as soon as ocuk list them on the website like they did to all of us who put prices in the i7 930 thread

Sounds a tad harsh. Personally I'm just interested in an indication of price, I'll usually hold out until OcUK stocks it. If they decide to act like that they won't get my business, if they're that bothered.

Go mATX instead of itx? Still make your rig smaller. Loads of good 785G boards now.

I'm actually waiting for the x4 Thuban based CPUs - should have loads of overclocking headroom on the new steppings, and a chance of an unlock. :D

Oh, and I also say go MATX - unless you do it properly (SFF PSU and the like), a MITX set-up won't be that much smaller than an MATX set-up, as once the motherboard is at a certain size, it is no longer the limiting factor. Look at the Q08 - it's not actually that small.

I think I'm gonna be sensible, just gonna slot an AMD x6 into my existing mainboard. Saves money for cases, mainboards and coolers.

My ATX case sits on the edge of my room so it's a tad annoying but there still is enough space for me to walk to my bed without jumping over it.

I need to save money for houses/emmigrating hehe.

AMD’s Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition at 3.2GHz as well as a few other six core CPus are set to launch on April 27th.

They are going to 'launch', but only 1055T and 1090T will be available.

The others come out later on.

Which one do you think I should buy?

I game, whore ocuk forums, slight photo editing, want to start doing home movies of my family members.

Erm a little bit of video encoding e.g. avi to DVD.
