If that is the case it has nothing do with his sexuality and everything to do with his position of influence.
 
It's at times like these that my choice to have stopped owning and watching a TV are confirmed as sound. As the late, and great Chief Inspector of Greater Manchester police commented many of these homosexuals, (who have long favoured the entertainment industry as a place to make a living), are "swirling around in a cesspit of their own making".

If it is indeed true that the hierarchy of ITV turned a deliberate blind eye to Schofield's predilection for young men and maybe boys, and allowed him to engineer a way to get one into the mechanics of his show, than those that facilitated this are fully complicit.

Heads won't of course roll, lessons of course, will not be learned.

Pontification and blame dodging incoming, yet again.

Lol dude, he has been smashing a boy whilst married to a woman. He deserves all the negative press he is getting in its fullest. It's a tabloid news topic; he isn't anyone of any importance.

I don't think anyone has villified him for being gay. They've given him 'grief' for being gay the entire time he was married. There is cheating because you've had enough, and then there is never being biologically attracted to your supposed life partner. The gay bit is irrelevant; it's just what it 'means' in the context he was in.

If he was cheating with an 18 year old girl, he'd have been sacked most likely and he certainly wouldn't have been hailed as a hero. Him coming out as gay was to protect his career (and his hand was forced). All very clever, and something a lot of my gay friends take a dislike to.

I dont care about his negative press but if you believe that a lot of this directed towards him is not just about him being gay then I cant help you. Its very simular to the meghan and racism debarcle.

The cheating on his wife thing? God save the king and all that.

He was smashing a kid whom he knew as a child. ITV leadership protected him. His being gay is irrelevant to the main storyline; that is sufficient enough.
