Genuine question - why is there an assumption he groomed the person?
I’ve not seen any evidence of that or a direct allegation from anyone actually involved or a suggestion of a police investigation/involvement.
The alleged super injunction (if it even exists) would not cover a criminal offence or prevent them speaking out about it or to the police.
It’s worth keeping in mind that this can work both ways. The term ‘sugar daddy’ was literally invented for this situation.
It’s probably best to hold off forming an opinion until the dust truly settles.

Which is also fine and doesn’t mean people should be jumping to conclusions now. Unlike the royal family, Schofield doesn’t have the sort of weight to keep this under wraps for ever so it will all come out eventually. What’s the rush?

Because he is gay and we live in a soceciety where it is still seen as a bad thing regardless how the media try and dress it up but yeah I know what you mean. No one blinked an eye at Hefner and his ladies which is kind of similar. They were all seen as gold diggers rather than being groomed.
What do think these people did before it was 'acceptable'?
Considering his age I think it would be weirder if he wasn't in a fake relationship trying to upkeep the establishment friendly, family values spiel.

There is not yet any evidence they had an inappropriate relationship when the person was below the age of consent.
The two ‘knowing each other’ could range between they interacted with each other once and the person later reached out to Schofield to try and get into TV. Right the way through to they well what you guys are jumping to conclusions about.
Follow the evidence, not those who have an agenda or want the clicks… the former sometimes takes a bit of patience.

It's more complicated then just an older celebrity having an affair with a younger person. The implication is Schofield knew this person as a kid (11 years old) and met him while he was at drama school. Schofield then used his fame and status to groom the kid into becoming his dirty little secret.

He knew the lad from age 11 and was the reason he got employed by ITV. Keep up.
True but wasn't it until much later on that he started an affair?
Some people just prefer to play blind ignorance. No smoke without fire. The fact his 'best friend' has distanced herself completely and his agents have binned him immediately is alarm bells.
