My mate is offering me his Canon 700D not sure on price yet, or I can get a new Nikon D3200 for £280 with Lens, I'm pretty much new to DSLRs and it'll be used for recording and learning how to take decent images.

So, what's the best to go with?

Now in todays market, what sort of price would you say a beginner would need to spend to get started? It wouldn't be anything major to start with, just like animals / landscapes / family.

I understand this will lead into the hundreds, so I'm just looking for an ideal price range you'd need to start off?

Nobody? If I get what I'm owed soon, maybe next month I can spend £400-600. While not a great amount of money, it should be enough to get me started with the basics?
