Pic: Your desk...RIGHT NOW

Just moved in the last few days so finally got the desk up and running.

Just need to cable tidy now :D

I got fed up with my desk being constantly cluttered so I re-purposed the shelves from a couple of small bookshelf units. Took them all apart, sanded down, couple of coats of gloss and then drilling holes in the wall for wall plugs. All a bit of a faff but worth it in the end. I need to get some edging tape to finish them off.

Nice job matey:D

Have just converted a rarely used Utility room into an office/study, just built the desk today from Ikea Kallax shelving units and a piece of worktop, got myself 2 new monitors to go with it and a dual monitor arm.

Grabbed a picture before I start moving any clutter in.

Only this tidy as I have only just finishing sorting the setup up and tidying the cables.

Get a new desk on Friday, spent ages setting it up. Put everything on my desk and my computer decided it didn't like this new desk and died a death. So ended up going out and getting a new rig as I need it for work, so spent a bit more time setting the desk up compared to what I normally would.

But very happy with with result, desk is about twice as big, and having the curved bit at the end makes things much better.

Wow Gosteh! Must be lovely being in there in the summer months with the light flooding in and the cool air?

Light flooding in yes, cool air... Well, not sure about that. I'm going to see if I can get something to help cool the room besides a fan for next summer. I only moved in here a few months ago and caught the end of the summer months, but even then it was a bit too warm for my liking.

Can I ask why you have such a small case yet put it under your desk?

May as well as get a proper mid tower then!

Just quite like cube designs if I'm honest. My previous rig was a Mini-ATX in a BitFenix Prodigy and that was really good, but wanted a bit more space, whilst keeping the cube design.

Just moved into my very own place and got my PC up and running, looks fairly tidy on top but my god.. the amount of cables by my feet under desk is very annoying.... I thought buying a 2 meter long desk would give me ample room but still find it a royal pain in the butt at times.

Hmm. Would have thought the skylights would have let the hot air rise out of your room.:)

The heat rises from the rest of the house and up the stairs into the roof space, so it struggles to lose it as quick as it gains it.

Still, I really like having the skylights there.
