Pic: Your desk...RIGHT NOW

I think they are - the desk one I've had for a fair few years, no sag and looks as good as the the other one that I only bought a few months back. Haven't treated them with oil or anything yet. Just a wipe over with a cloth now and again.

How rough is the finish on an untreated KARLBY? Would you consider it abrasive to delicate plastic/rubber, or is it completely fine? I can't be arsed with the faff of sanding and treating a worktop but I hear the KARLBY can be fairly rough which gives me pause as I don't want the surface marking stuff I slide across it.

If I wipe a dry duster over it, it does catch in the odd place, but can't feel it with my hand if that makes sense. I don't works directly on the top to be honest due to large mouse mat and cutting board, though they are there to protect the worktop.

Interesting. It's just that for example I've had the plastic of controllers worn away from placing it on top of BESTA stuff because the foil they use is abrasive, so now I'm wondering if their worktops would do something like that.

Ive just checked and its not wide enough - my current desk is 760mm and would prefer a little wider if possible as i use a widescreen monitor and dont want it too close. Such a shame!

I am the same, i need a desk with a good depth, 80cm minimum. How people get by with 55cm or 60cm deep is beyond my comprehension. Ideally i'd like a desk a metre deep and two metres wide. My current one is 180cm wide and 80cm deep, that i have about 10cm away from the wall to allow my monitor arms to bend and keep the monitors near the back of the desk.

I was looking through some old photos and found my setup from 2011... dear lord.

Main monitor was a Samsung 120hz, it was amazing. Looked it up, it was apparently 3D, flol.

Case was an Antec P180, loved that case.

Don't think I could stand an all white room, if anything it would drive me crazy with my eye floaters.

Hasn't been all white for a while now.

His and hers.

I did a lot of tidying this weekend with cables, especially on the wife’s desk as it was doing my head in. Two hidden PS5s are the main entertainment.

Also an example of what to do with a upstairs landing :)
