Sometimes my genius can be frightening, I figured out I might be able to use the blinds in their flat slat mode as a projector screen, so tested the theory:

Now to just replace the blinds with grey/white slats for the more optimised viewing experience

Na it's not for movie watching or anything major, just youtube/live news and stuff like that on the side whilst I work away on the PC so I don't need to have a small window on the PC screen or add a 2nd monitor on the desk which I dislike. I'll probably add a pulldown rolling white screen though just above the window which would be even better given how cheap they seem to be:
