Pic: Your desk...RIGHT NOW

Herman Miller Aeron as ooverclockao linked to there - yes it is very comfortable and it's possible to sit on it all day without feeling the need to twitch around, I doubt there's much better out there without paying really ridiculous money. The mesh material it's made from allows your skin to breathe. I've sat on £3000 leather sofas and have stood up sweating after sitting for even 10 minutes on one if the room was warm. Not so with this :)
It cost me £650 or so but it's with me for life, there's not exactly new models coming out every year and the quality will always be there. A nice place to park the ass for a day :)

amen to that, i have three of them in my flat and one at work too, best chairs ever

:)

2StepSteve you sit chewing your mouth off at your pc while your lights are on while munching your face off?

hahaha I know mate, you should see the looks passers by give me.. get massive squares/circles/patterns drawn onto the houses opposite, neighbours must love me lol..

lol but yeah lasers :)

It can be done for not as expensive as you may think, can get them quite cheap off the bay ~£100 (Aviod the laser crabs though that you see on there). They come in all sorts of power outputs and colours some DMX controllable some just sound to light. Green I prefer the best as our eyes 'see' it as the brightest compared to the other colours, so it makes it for a better deal. ~50mw will be fine for a small room. Don't think I even need to say it as im sure your all aware they can be very dangerous to our eyes!

Its not just the laser that makes it happen though thing that makes it look decent is the smoke.. lol if your a heavy smoker though you might be able to do away with a smoke machine and close the door and windows :D. But seriously you will need a smoke machine to get an effect, just a small one will do for your bedroom or small room is fine.

Don't wanna derail this thread anymore.

Could start a new thread or something..

Can you start a new thread on it please? Perhaps some more links on where to get such equipment from, how you connected it all together and so on? I'm really interested and i'm sure others are too.

This thread convinced me to give my desk a much needed clean up. It also convinced me to nick one of the 17" TFT's from my office and try out dual monitors :D

it was my understanding that our eyes don't see green as a brigther colour then others, its just that our eyes can differentiate more shades of green, as it is in the middle of the visible light spectrum, and so we can see more detail in it (which is why night vision is green, to try and display as much detail as possible).

night vision is green because our eyes are more sensitive to movement in green or red light. either will do. they picked green
