Ok, so I'm genuinely torn between this one and the FB one.

I like that the horizon is straight now, but I don't like the fact that there's such a skew on the right hand building :S :(

Do absolutely love the colour in the sky though, also what is the weird pointy building?

Sadly the right hand bulding is completely floating on water, it goes up and down with the tide as that's the public jetty for the ferry I take to work each morning! From that angle it looks skewed indeed as it's dropped quite far down and it's the only angle to get both scenes in view in one shot :(

You can see how much of it is in the water in this shot:

The building though is Spinnaker Tower :):

Those pics^ were taken years ago from a roflcopter ride :D

Ah, ok, that is a bit of a shame, water being a right pain :( What do they do in the Spinnaker tower? Is it just a standard office block? Or something special?

The floors you see at the top of it is just a viewing area and a tourist attraction, it's pretty to look at I guess :p

I like these Didmat, very nice.

Posted in the general thread by accident so here they are here.

An HDR Sunset looking over to the main town of Stornoway, this is from the most easterly part of the Isle (Point)

A daytime long exposure, using a piece of shade 10 welding glass. This is the small thin strip of land which connects Point to the main Island

Thanks! Just some Lee filters and a tiny bit of post work. The lighthouse shot needed quiet abit of post work as the orginal shot is covered in sand dots. It was a very windy day and ended up being cover in sand myself let alone the poor camera.. :p

Not so sure about the F16 in that last one :p Non circular sun is a bit too weird.

Also think it might have benefited from taking the Orange slider down a bit.

Quite like the queen's park one mind.

I really have been doing a lot of photography on this beach, there is another side to it as well to the right of the second shot over the small hill of land about 50 meters over... it's huge!

A slightly more processed HDR, verging on what I don't like but thought it really added a bit of oomph to the shot.

A 3 shot HDR of sunset, you can see the above groyne in the distance.
