I have been filming a video for a fitness club nearby....

Fix that very slight bit of tilting though or he'll get very upset with you :P

See how I got my finger lower left like a classic fool! I also accidentally shifted the aperture to 6.3 and didn't realise until after when I noticed the bokeh wasn't quite as soft.

Tells more of a story too, makes it look less posed. The wide angle makes me think he's just standing there for you to take a picture but the closer up one is more he's walking into town to do things, he looks more happy there's more emotion on the wide angle you can't see the emotion as much.

I think the F6.3 looks good, especially in the original as it shows a little context.:)
The black and white looks great though, and the lack of colour does away with the context but focuses attention on the subject. It could have been shot at F1.4 or something, but I like the DOF as there isn't anything to distract like you would get if it was a slightly wider shot.
