[PIC_THREAD] People, Portraits, Street

First real use of my NX1000 and 30mm f2.0 pancake lens, only ever had a D40 before this but never invested in any lenses above and beyond the 18-55 that came with it as a kit.

These are of my niece on Christmas Eve when my Brother and Sister in law came up to collect her presents to put under the tree (or "send off to Santa" if you're the little one).

I've probably gone way over the top with the PP using Snapseed as I only ever take my tablet with me when back visiting family, but looking forward to learning more :)

35mm f/1.4, the EXIF confirms it. Foreground is never nice anyway but there have been reports of nervous bokeh particularly in the foreground and near the focal plane on the Sigma. That doesn't look like an item that would every photograph well as bokeh though, to be fair.

Just to confirm my primes are Nikons not Sigmas. I think it was some kind of cheap jewellery in the foreground. Tbh I don't think you would get smoother bokeh from another 35, as the 35 1.4G is very smooth.

As mentioned in the other thread, strange looking bokeh exists on all lenses (though mostly fast short fl lenses mainly), just depends on the focal plane of that object under bokeh.
