[PIC_THREAD] People, Portraits, Street

I use continuous lights "videographer"... The ring light is quite large and gives a broad even spread.

An exception: I don't have any other "daylight" fluorescents for the kicker at the moment, I didn't want to mix light... I have some Kino flo lights coming soon, so I can play with that idea then!.. give me another excuse to shoot... :)

I feel like I'm overtaking this thread... posting so much, Sorry!!.. :(

C'mon guys get your portraits in here!...

My eyes lit up when you mentioned the work Kino Flo! You brought them or hiring them. Their a dream to work with.

Hey Schizo..

I'm buying them... I'm in two mind at the moment because I have a ton of other stuff on my list. I'm looking at the Canon 1DC for 4k and the C100.. I also want some bi colour LED panels that have v mount for ultra light out door use.

The Kinos are quite expensive. I want x2, 4 by 4ft banks and x2, 2 by 4ft banks. Owing to there expense Ive looked in to the Film Gear versions online.. They too come with external ballasts and use the same kino flo tubes. Then there is the Flolights, that have decent reviews and are cheaper still.

Kinos give a beautiful soft light for all kinds of situations. They have high CRI and are very flattering. I'm still weighing my options...I have some spare time coming up next week so I want something else to play with :)

Some great stuff in here. I really like the Reflections shot on the last page ScottFree, and the last Tommy shot is good too (is that just natural light from the window?). I might have to pick up some lighting, or at least an off-camera flash so I can start playing about with this.

Because I check in on this thread, so if I see there are new posts every 1 hour I check the thread, but then it's a page of 12 posts of the same shoot. I post my stuff when it's done, and I don't clog up threads when I do. If you have loads of images post them in a separate thread. In exactly the same way I don't post up every single photo from my 365 in the post your pictures thread.
